Has anyone tried using a food saver for venison instead of the usual paper and clear wrap. Was thinking of trying it out this year but wanted to get some opinions or results people have had

240 grain?? That sounds like fighter pilot ammunition

^^ alot of times I hear movement and never know what was there. Always has me wondering how close I was. This is true for me too. My heart is always going even if its a deer I know i cant shoot, just because I know if 1 deer is moving there might be something right behind it.

If I was you I would shoot him and worry about his age later : )

Only deer I ever recovered the next day had its hind quarters eaten by coyotes so I was scared to touch any of it...I think if its below 50 you should be ok. Thats the temp Ive been told you can leave a deer hanging over night so Im assuming your situation would be the same.

I've been using 150 grain fed. Nosler ballistic tip with my a-bolt II forever. Shoot great but I am probably going to switch to the fusions. Every deer I shoot gets a lot of meat ruined. Anyone that shoots the fusions let me know if it has the same effect

Totally agree..that's why If I can help it I won't use a deer processor. But i do understand that some people have to use one.

A deer looks like a squirrel at 200 yards lol maybe he's a descendant of buffalo bill or Daniel Boone

First time doing a food plot and we have a bunch of bucks using the plot. Only at night so far. This is probably the biggest one, not huge but it would be my biggest and is def a good one for My property. Also got a couple of cool pics of bucks sparring

They have a strong taste similar to lamb I would say (not the exact taste of lamb but that kind of kick). I'm not a fan

Lmao. I never thought of that. Only thing I can think of is that on some of the boxes it shows that people use them as a make shift ground blind

Doc were you using a harness? When I wear a harness I always feel a little safer, to the point where I can stand up and not be scared to lose my balance because I'm tied in

I hate heights too. Even after skydiving 3 times I'm still not over it. I'm ok in a ladder stand. I'm very nervous in wooden stands and in my climber which I usually go up to 20 ft, it takes me about half hour up there to feel secure. I don't think I can even use a hang on stand even tho those are probably best

Spray them with cologne [emoji1]

My small plot is 1/2 brassica and half clover. I set up a ground blind on the brassica side but the plot is on a hill and the slope was too much so sit comfortable even with a piece of plywood to flatten it out. So I moved it to the clover side and at first light a deer sprinted passed me and stopped and ate for about 15 minutes, 20 yards in front of the original blind spot... Ugh. 65 yards from me. About double my effective range lol

Sorry I didn't mean to come off that way. I meant the fact that some see one way unethical or morally wrong. Not the actual question of would you shoot or not.

I dont know if scaffolding is expensive but my uncle has 2 bliind/stands built on them and theyve been standing since Ive been hunting. might be a good idea.

def wouldnt touch em. I eat heart and sometimes the liver. I didnt know people eat the kidneys, are they good?

Ended up in a rifle stand and had 2 different doe feeding at 70 yards. Second 1 I thought it try to sneak down my stand and stalk. If I got within 30 yards I'd take the shot. She spotted me when I was about 69 yards away. I'm so stealthy
