  1. We had two ducks for a while when I was growing up that moved in after a school project. They disappeared one day. Our lab/st Bernard mix had a big ole smile on her face. Not pointing fingers, but ........
  2. I will say after I quit drinking, the attacks nearly went away with only a very sporadic attack every few years. That said, my buddy who is uber healthy and a marathon runner needs maintenance meds like Pygmy. Some folks just build up that uric acid that causes the attacks.
  3. If it feels like a broken big toe and someone jiggling around a huge needle in that joint, it’s probably gout. Hurts bad. Starting loadin up on ibuprofen. It will help. If you have it, putting a shoe on is near impossible. I don’t get it much anymore but indomethicine turns it around in a few days. But ibuprofen works in a pinch.
  4. The stock is black and the action feels a heck of a lot like my $2400 Sako. Not bad for 1/4 of the price!
  5. Just won this rifle at the QDMA banquet. Great light, accurate rifle (moa guaranty) but having bought 4 new rifles this year, I really don’t need another. It’s new in box and never fired. $620. Happy to send or post pics but it’s a brand new rifle Description and specs as follows: Designed with a blued metal finish, the Tikka T3x Lite 7mm-08 Remington Bolt-Action Rifle features a steel receiver and a 22.4-inch barrel with a hand-cut crowned muzzle. The rifle is also fitted with an adjustable, single-stage trigger, a 2-stage safety and a synthetic stock. 6. X2. I hate fixing and replacing parts. Decent grill on sale and repeat as needed. $200 on a charbroil seem to cook fine. Big surface with the extra stuff.
  7. I must have the torso of a 6'8" man with the legs of someone 5'4". Head room even reclining is always tough for me. Then add in some girth and its like a game of twister getting out of most vehicles. lol I like stepping up and just plopping down!
  8. I very much enjoy the seating space of a full size - be it pick up or SUV. If that was not a need for me, the mid size (not sure they are really bigger than what I called compact not too long ago) - would be a great option.
  9. what a double standard - plants are living creatures too. We should all live off air!
  10. Yep officially turned the big 60 yesterday. Happy BDay!
  11. Bob ran a great banquet. Tons of fun and some great deals on the auction items. First time winning a rifle which was cool. Tikka t3x in 7-08. Good deal on a Quigley scope too. Will definitely be back and hope to see even more of you there. Wnybuckhunter Haley Nomad Bob and I represented huntingny there. Nomad won a gun too and John got a sweet deal on a home in the outter banks for a week . Thanks Bob and we'll done.
  12. Don’t worry Biz, drinking whiskey does not make you manly. Then again, wanting to shower with Pygmy doesn’t make you manly either.
  13. Is the painting signed in the wrong corner with my wife’s name first? If so, you have a very valuable painting on your hands.
  14. 70lbs is a heavy longbow. I had a recurve at 75lbs and it cleans up a sloppy release. But I really prefer the 48-55 range. That’s a nice bow BSH.
  15. Nice to see. Even the football team was decent this year.
  16. Betcha that shoots as good as it looks! Nice!
  17. Really not expecting that problem!
  18. But thanks again to Jason WNY Bowhunter on another great mount. He is a great taxi. Out of wall space - not a problem I was expecting. Going to have to be a whopper going foward. But if I shoot a dandy, I hope Jason will take him in!
  19. Yep. People try to exploit my turkey knowledge and skills all the time. They never ask a second time. Lol
  20. Like Rinella or not, I think he does a good job of explaining a rationale for hunting that most on the fence will understand and accept. My personal view is that he is a good representative in terms of winning support for hunting from the uncertain or indifferent masses.
  21. Love the idea of a fun truck with doors off etc but a really weak motor.
