  1. Now that is funny. Getting caught twice on robo deer - same field too? lol
  2. wont bother the deer. you may get a shot on a yote
  3. self bow baby! Would really like to make one and kill a deer with it. Milling the cams will be difficult though. lol
  4. But like a bad movie, we all knew it was coming.
  5. Already been through this with you FSW. You may recall where that went. And I honestly could not care less whether you kill the king of the woods or a spike. I just find it funny that you shout out to the world that you have nothing to prove and then try sooooo hard to impress, whether it’s your super hunting skills, mega land baron status, huge house or the fact that you live the good life. Again, moving on to something that interests me even just a little bit.
  6. Congrats on a great season, no doubt. This is the first year I recall you posting a pic of a buck. But to claim you have nothing to prove and then keep posting photos of the same buck suggests that you believe you do have something to prove. Regardless, nice buck.
  7. I assume a friendly consensus was reached just like every other xbow inclusion thread ever started?
  8. I have been wanting a 220 swift after a member here that I trust told me that his younger grandkids use it for deer and they always drop in sight. Might be a good caliber for Natalie when she is old enough.
  9. I recall buying a few zeiss conquest scopes two years ago when they came our with the HD5. Purchased them on sale for around $300. Now that same scope used sells for close to $400. Watch for deals especially when new models come out.
  10. I give her credit. She just kept trying. haha
  11. Would love to plant a few Dunstans. And finish another 1/2 mile of ATV trails.
  12. Some of us pull the pant leg up slightly to measure. Zipper not needed. Lol All a bit silly, my statement included.
  13. So good hear biggame! Sorry if it sounded like we jumped to conclusions. Congrats on a dandy!
  14. I shot one doe in the head when it was bedded. Lethal but I swore never to do that again. For some reason (and its not logical) but I felt really bad afterwards.
  15. I didn't want to raise this point, but I agree. I understand infant ear drums are very sensitive. I pray there was no damage, but would probably see a physician.
  16. Since you asked about different ways, I will offer one that just became a habit for me out of frustration of trying to fit my hands and the knife in the cavity. Once I open a deer up and free the butt, I utilize the grip and rip method. Not much if any cutting after inside the cavity. Its quick but you need to push through the diaphragm and pull pretty hard on the windpipe. Occasionally I do have to follow up with a cut here or there if its a tough deer, but often not. My buddies now joke about my unique method but it works fine, kinda brutal but fine.
  17. Careful - my dog has real stomach issues with raw venison. I stopped feeding her venison as much as she loves it.
  18. Too small. And for some reason my wife must think the blind is soundproof. Not exactly quiet talking. Oh well. Guessing we won’t be seeing anything. Maybe some Spanish speaking does will be interested. Glad she came out just for the experience though.
