  1. He did have an awesome year last year. I think it was his first hunting with a trad bow!
  2. She has a little Sioux and told me yesterday that she will never get rid of it, even though its a bit small for her now. lol
  3. People find time for what is important to them. Nothing wrong with choosing the easiest most effective weapon either. That's why I could care less what weapon others choose to use when hunting.
  4. Storm I have heard the question from many that are considering whether to try traditional: "but can you live with the fact that a big buck may be out of range with the trad bow and would have been in range with the compound?" If the answer is, I would kick myself, then stick with the compound. Greater challenge carries with it the likelihood of less success (but that is only if success is measured is inches). As someone said, it is what it is.
  5. The truth revealed - Biz are you scared of heights?
  6. Natalie is 9. She started shooting a youth recurve probably 2-3 years ago. We have kept it fun - not too serious but always trying to teach a little something when we shoot. We have some challenges where we shoot against each other (the rules favor her). She is starting to progress where it is becoming more important to her to hit the bullseye. I don't force it, but its good to see her desire to shoot well kick in.
  7. What kind of idiot CHOOSES a less effective weapon when hunting? Geeze.
  8. Agreed. This one has the strap. I thought the same thing looking at them.
  9. Thanks Tacks. I was a bit impatient and ordered a release last night and it happened to be a purple scott youth release. Matches the Jazz arrows. lol
  10. Interesting add - 6" groups at 100 not unusual and powers right through brush and branches. Neither would really be considered acceptable now.
  11. Cool shotgun. Weren't the ithacas like the savage 220 of their day - known to be the most accurate slug gun?
  12. You forgot "kindness"! Silly question warrants a silly response.
  13. Not a chance Law. Ford is way better that Dodge.
  14. I actually found 5 jazz that someone gave me for her that are like 1000’ or 1100 spine. Flew great from her 20lb compound. One pin keeps her reasonably close out to 20. Thanks for the suggestion. I will check out the Carter. This release is way too big. She had to reach for the trigger.
  15. Day 2. Finally convinced her to give it a shot. She prefers the recurve but likely because that’s what she sees me shooting constantly. Rather see her start hunting with the compound vs recurve to take some pressure off. She did good and already sees that it’s easier to hit the mark. Good shot at 15yds. Made a quarter size bullseye. Aim small miss small. She was generally grouping about 6-8” which ain’t bad for Day 2 at 15. Gotta find light arrows for a 20lb draw. Look forward to see where she is in a month. Any suggestions for a small release?
  16. Sure, pick on the lawyer. Boooooooooooo
  17. Yep. That’s eBay not PayPal holding up the payment.
  18. You may be right. But I thought it’s only a few transactions to get verified. I don’t recall not being verified but maybe many years ago. Waiting would annoy me. They did the same thing on eBay until you sell a certain number of items. Bet they love the float.
  19. Once you are a verified member, payments are received and can be transferred to your bank acct immediately.
  20. I am against any further polls on this subject.
  21. Around a grand for everything. Maybe a little less. Great idea for kids.
  22. The window configuration is as good as I have seen too. You won’t regret buying one.
  23. On sale for $399 shipped. Worth every penny if you don’t plan on moving it.
