Yes TF. They have a model for crossed eyes. It has two housings, one on each side of the riser. You will love it.
-
Maybe. But range estimation in thick stuff is usually not an issue. Open hardwoods and fields is where I see this sight as a potential benefit
-
True, and no doubt it takes some of the skill out of hunting with a bow. But if the only goal is to kill deer, I would opt for a cheap bow and the self ranging sight (assuming it works). Might be money better spent. I would bet many misses with a compound relate to poor yardage estimation.

Planning on putting one on my black widow. lol Neat idea though assuming it really works in a practical sense. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/blog/fishandhunt/garmin-xero-auto-ranging-digital-bow-sight/

I was more concerned about your failure to include NYS gorillas! -
Remember, he missed!

So what did you do Water Rat?

It seems that we should still be able to apply common sense. Walk the 10' and drag it back. I would expect my neighbors to do the same and wouldn't gripe one bit. If they can see their deer from the property line, they are free to go get it.
-
You also entice gorillas to feed near the road. I am sorry Tacks, but you have lost all credibility.

What makes a gun a "brush" gun? Small and easily maneuverable? I know deflection is deflection whether its a 12g or 30-30. I guess I would say my 30-30 because it is so easy to carry and shoulder being small.

I am the antithesis of Dinsdale and Pygmy. I hunt deer. lol OK, I could add squirrels, fox, coyote, and even bear as potential targets of opportunity while hunting deer. And I could add turkey but I am so bad at it, I suspect a real turkey hunter would question whether I really "hunt" turkey. -
LOL - you know Dan, I should have realized that considering your love of the fixed power scope.
-
Yep, I get that a real sniper will adjust scope. And I guess if you are hunting animals at 500yds, the hunter should have time to do the same. If I hunted out west though, I would certainly be inclined to use a mil dot scope. Sure gets you close on target without much thinking to certain ranges.
-
I have noticed that one property we hunt, all of the bucks have short brow tines no matter the buck's age. I assume its a genetic thing or perhaps the lack of lots of ag.
-
Guys out west shoot em to 200yds with a regulator mod. Its pretty powerful for an airgun. Easily accurate to 100ys. Wind doping is more critical with a 26g pellet though.
-
No worries. I suspect there aren't a lot of people shooting 500yds on this forum (as evidenced by the lack of responses from mil dot users) since there aren't many areas in NY where that is even possible. None of the properties I hunt have anywhere near that range. I just found it interesting from a long distance hunting perspective. I guess the light bulb never clicked before last night that since the mil dots create an angle, the aiming point drops the further away you go and it can follow bullet drop reasonably closely (in a MPBR sighting type of way).

Cool stuff Airedale.

Got a good deal on this. Arrives Weds. Edgun R3M in .25. Should be fun chasing some small game.

Check on line. I bet there is a video on how to change the o rings.

Read my first post again. "all theoretical for me" means what is says and stop worrying about me taking ethical shots. Other than one 240yd kill shot on a doe, the longest shot I have ever taken with a gun on game is around 100yds. Again, the question was posed to those that use mil dots for long range hunting. I thought guys like Pygmy, Buckmaster and Wildcat might have some input. I found it interesting how the use of a single mil dot can follow the bullet drop to some extent over extended ranges. And I am very familiar with the use of mil dots on with air rifles, but due to limited range, they really serve more has various holdover points. A single dot cant be used for extended ranges. I have shot a lot of 100 yd targets with quality pcp air guns.

Just watch out for robo-gorilla.
