It just occurred to me as I read this thread, what do guys do with a crossbow in the stand. Do you have to hold it the entire time? I assume you can't hang it like a bow. That alone would deter me from hunting with one.

If that photo hasn't been photo shopped, that buck is by far the biggest I have ever seen. Never mind 200 dressed, try 300 plus.

I picked up the 8x42 leupold bx3 pro guide for under $300 shipped on eBay. Testing them side by side with the zeiss conquest, I thought they were very comparable. Great in low light. Don't fog. And size wise, they aren't much bigger than some cheap Nikon 10x25 I have. If in the market, keep an eye on eBay. Very nice overall hunting binos. Easy focus too. They still sell for close to $600 at the box stores.

I guess I was 30min too late but we will see.

He watched me too at bottom of pasture by truck. Left unconcerned. It's by the rd. Had plenty of time to Bino him. Nice buck that we have never seen. Somebody also locked up brakes down the rd a bit. No doubt deer crossing.

Have two good sets to use it today and tomorrow but for the first time all season, I have high hopes for this afternoon. Had to wait for a nice 11pt to leave to set up. Watched him for 5 min from about 250yds. Real nice buck. Hope he is cruising all day.

If it's any defense, I have run out of food and am hungry enough that I may jump down and eat that apple core.
