  1. Phade will be too busy checking cams and I don't think I can jump high enough to hit TC, might just be me and you Mike. Never mind, I still am working on gluing a limb together. lol
  2. OK, I am now upset with Phade, TC and Mike. Fight in the parking lot after school!
  3. I wait until phade catches it and shoot then. Phade is surprisingly quick when arrows are flying at him.
  4. That is weird. Does look like its just bending over. Check for a rope holding it down, perhaps its now a catapult.
  5. nope Just toss it from the deck and shoot it where it stops. Good practice for unknown distances.
  6. I have the same ball and toss it around the yard to shoot at sometimes.
  7. You are shooting at a round ball. You sure it didn't just spin the ball a bit when it entered causing the angle? You did hit a touch left. Good shot TC.
  8. I would hesitate to use mechanicals at 50lbs even with a 30" DL. Assuming you are rt handed , Sounds like the arrows may be weak. Can you cut them? Inch off and slightly lowering nock point may resolve it. Or do you have a spine stiffer? Minimally 100g should bring fp and BH closer.
  9. Looks like it's all business. Good luck with it Bill. See you soon.
  10. We need to get out where reeltime and Otto are fishing. 3.5hrs and we had 2 releases with nothing home, 1 screamer lost just after I pulled the rod from the holder and the little king. Didn't see another boat hook up either. Maybe we should have run deep. Good luck out there. I bay wasn't happening today.
  11. Might as well sell the xbow Biz.
  12. It only stands to reason that since boxing skills are only a small part of the MMA arsenal, a top boxer would beat an MMA fighter in boxing and the same would is true when a boxer tries to beat a MMA fighter at his game. In the end, they are both laughing all the way to the bank. If so many didn't hate Macgregor, no one would pay the $100. And neither could make this type of purse without the hype of both personality and pitting sport against sport. No one would pay that type of cash to see mayweather beat another boxer. It was marketing genius in my opinion. Especially since we all likely could guess the outcome from before the first punch.
  13. No Joel today Grampy. I think he wanted to sleep. Been pretty slow but weather is perfect. Natalie reeled in her first king. Perfect size for her
  14. Thanks guys. Sporadic marks so far. 2 releases but nothing home. Finding good temp around 100 deep
  15. I tried duct tape. Seemed to lose some speed. Lol. No limbs except the 38lbers on this bow. It's a bolt down. The compound will be fine if I can't get replacements in time. Heck I just extended my range by 20yds. What a great break, pun intended.
  16. You are probably right. That speed is actually decent for a heavy arrow with a recurve but the power is questionable.
  17. Just dusted it off and shot it. I was about 2" low at both 20 and 40yds but otherwise good. Probably a slight string stretch over time and dropping the gang sight will bring it in. Could be my anchor is off too. It's been a long time since I have really put time in with the compound.
  18. Blew the dust off it and my first 5 arrows with the compound this year. 3 at 20 and 2 at 40. Hitting a couple of inches low. Not sure if it's my anchor or just need to adjust gang sight.
  19. I had a bowtech that I yoke tuned. Been a while but yes I could figure it out.
  20. You need help installing, let me know. 60x usually turns strings around quick. Where did you order? I know I can use the compound so it's not a huge issue. Just not my preference.
  21. So last night I had a limb failure at full draw. No injuries thank goodness. But bad news is that it's my hunting bow. I know the manufacturer will make it right but since they are more than 4 months out on new orders and these limbs have to be made, it's unlikely I will have the replacements by the season. I have some 38lb practice limbs I put on for now. But even as a higher than normal performing recurve, 38lb is pretty light and I just don't shoot the light limbs as well. They show every form flaw which is why they are great for practice but not as forgiving. I either have to dedicate this next month to practicing with the light limbs or go back to my compound. Not liking either option. Could have been much worse all things considered. Gotta love these challenges Lol So today I just played around trying to get the 38lb limbs tuned. Not quite there but did have fun flinging arrows at 40yds. It was like taking a time out waiting for them to land. I even hit a few bulls but missed more than I hit. Deer are safe at 40yds with those limbs. 565g arrows moving at a whopping 163fps. Maybe be I can borrow my daughters bow.
