  1. Is that from Of Mice and Men? Likely taking Nov. 2-12 off to hunt.
  2. I didn't pull the trigger yet, but still am inclined to do so for the price. I liked the KO2s well enough except for the wear but at 2/3 of the price of most of the tires, I can live with 2/3 of the wear I guess. I only got 3-4k more from the duratracs and they are quite a bit more expensive. Not sure how tree guy gets so much mileage. Perhaps because most of my driving is city driving. Lots of love for the coopers. I would like a tire that looks a bit more aggressive for the sissy truck though as silly as that sounds. Its a lot of rubber under that truck and I do want them to fit the image of the truck. Maybe some all pink tires with aggressive tread. lol
  3. Nice Eddie. 3rd one down looks like he will be a bigun.
  4. Not LTs on the duratracs which you would think means they would last longer. I won't even get 35k from this set. Real loud now too. My original TA KO2s lasted about 32k. At $780, that is ok by me.
  5. I actually had the old model. Worked fine. For $780 shipped, it's a steal. They have the snowflake rating. Look good. Were much quieter than the duratracs. Hard to find good tires for less than $250 per at this size. Overstocked at 4wheelparts now but all new 2017s. If Price were no consideration I might buy something else but at this price and having experience with the old model, I will take em. The sales guy took $20 off just because I asked. Never hurts. Cost me $1300 for the duratracs installed. This will be $860 all in.
  6. Never mind. Found the new model BFG KO2s for less than $200 shipped for 315/70r17. Sold!
  7. Thanks doewhacker. Kinda hoping someone had direct experience with the falkens. Found a real solid deal on the bfg ko2s too but they were only ok when I ran them previously. This is the newer version though.
  8. Finishing off my duratracs. They have performed fine. Got about 35k from them and decent in winter. Ok in wet. But these Falkens seem to have great reviews. Anybody try them. The duratracs got loud as they wore down. These seem to be reviewed as very quiet and have the snowflake rating for winter. Plus, at $893 for 4, they are several hundred less than duratracs. Thoughts?
  9. Why not. Scrape the old wrap off and clean with acetone. Then use quick fletch.
  10. I have to remember to bring my phone down when I let the dog out at zero dark thirty. Shoot a first shot everyday and always think, geeze I should have my phone. Oh well, tomorrow. lol Good news, I have not missed the 4" green on the 18-1 Rinehart in a long time.
  11. That will definitely help. Get those knuckles at a 45 degree angle from the riser and the pressure on pad at base of thumb. If you are having a hard time, try curling your pinky and ring finger in so that they sit outside of the grip. You will use your thumb and first and index finger to lightly grip. It kinda forces your hand to a more correct position which then rotates elbow out rather than down.
  12. Based on our dock, it's still close to 3 feet high. Dropping but very slowly.
  13. Anything to help out my buddy that has promised to keep furry Volkswagens from gnawing on me.
  14. Mongolian beef for dinner. Now I have an unusual urge to conquer something.
  15. Selfish I know. The booners all walk just on the other side of my property line sadly. I wouldn't want Pygmy to be tempted.
  16. Yep. Cohos are called silvers due to body color. Technically they have black mouths with white gums but they usually look more light gray gums with black mouth to me. Kings have very dark gums. Trout will have white gums and mouth although it's easy to tell steelhead and lakers from salmon. 18lbs would be a pretty large coho. Nice king but not huge. Still a great fight though, especially now. and I still suck at distinguishing an Atlantic from coho. Atlantics are smaller.
  17. That bottom salmon looks like a king to me. Was going to guess mid to upper teens. Kings have black gums. Cohos have dark gums too but not as dark usually and they are silver in body color like photo one.
  18. Nice Stone. We had planned last Sat but it was really blowing then.
  19. Yep - returned them. The gear was in a bag where we store flies and flashers. No idea why I put them there last year. Never thought to look in the obvious place like one of the bags we removed from the boat. Duh! Only a $50 mistake for return shipping vs $1200. I will take it.
  20. Also Dan, I set your stand where we see pope and young bucks daily during the season. Let me know when you are ready.
