Thanks Grampy. I checked everywhere. I have a bad feeling we left a duffle bag on the dock when we closed up last season. A little late to learn now. But, new lowrance fish finder and fish hawk x4d will be here this week. In the grand scheme of things, it's not that big of a deal. Just silly but expensive mistake by us. At least we will be fishing by next weekend. And to my surprise, bass pro refused to price match with Walmart. $100 difference. But I ended up buying the lowrance at the gps store for about $150 less than bass pro since I did not have to pay sales tax.

Already shopping for replacements. Lol

I literally lost my lowrance and fish hawk. How does one misplace these electronics, I seriously don't know. After turning my house and my fathers house upside down, they are no where to be found. Stupid, stupid. There is $1300 out the window and guaranteed they pop up after we replace them. Just a little venting.

Skin mount or painted form? Seems like no one does the skin mounts anymore. Take a photo and they ship you a replica. Still costs quite a bit. He did a nice job!

Funny how I lift weights to get stronger and then think of every way possible to avoid lifting heavy things for something practical.

I guess it's time to cut a hole in the garage ceiling. I have no idea if the truss is spliced but I would guess so. It runs across the garage well over 20'. So could I use an eye bolt on a board over several trusses and mount the winch on a board across several wall studs. Or is it better to have the winch directly overhead. Pretty much what I do now with winch mounted to wall but cable runs over chain loop (which hangs from a single truss).

Larry I hope the great memories of your mom give you comfort during this time of loss. Nice tribute by your daughter.

Not to hijack, but I just hoist my deer up with a hand winch over a single truss beam. I don't have a hatch either in the garage, but do have one in the house. Is that a bad idea? Too much weight for a single truss beam?

Big difference around here buckmaster. Once the pressure increases and guns go off, much fewer deer sightings. I think you hunt pretty large parcels and that may make a difference in terms of pressured deer hunkering down.
