    That looks like dark red liver to me. I guess color on photo could show different. Did you shoot it a bit back? Assuming liver, I would have let that buck sit for 3 hours minimum. Either grid search from last blood or call deer search I bet that buck is dead and it's just a matter of finding him now. Good luck

    My buddy shot his first archery deer yesterday. Recovered this morning. Very happy for him. Took down a fighter with a broken beam. Nice first deer and buck.

    Just a thought but if it's definite doe bedding, I would look for lighter trails just inside the wood line downwind of the predominant wind. Then set up downwind to shoot that trail. Assumption being that bucks will cruise that inside trail to scent check the bedding area. If the goal is to shoot a doe, then I guess you could set up over the bedding trails.

    I just watched another 130 class buck walk by at 30yds. I am guessing I should sit home but can't help myself. Tough to watch em walk but fun to watch period. go hunt north. Imo

    Sitting on a cold wet swamp island. No idea why as I should be sleeping but I am on vacation and it's hunting season. Saw two little bucks so far.
