  5. How much potential does this buck have in the years to come if he can survive?
  6. Agree, everyone wants to a shoot a big buck if possible.
  7. Plants seem to be stunted, they seem to be about 10-12 inches and not growing which i cant beleive because we have had a good amount of rain and sunshine. cant see any turnips or radishes yet. kinda worried that they wont have time to grow before the first real frost. Color of the leaves throught the plots seems to be ok still alot of green with some spots turning yellow and purple, i did apply fertilizer about 2 weeks ago seemed to just help the grass/weeds grow more.
  8. NEWFANE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man has died after an apparent accident involving a tree stand off Coomer Road in the Town of Newfane. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office say the Newfane resident went into the woods Monday night to set up a tree stand for hunting. When he did not return, two friends went in search of him, and around 7:30 p.m. found the severely injured man at the base of a tree. His friends called 911, and dispatchers were able to track the signal using GPS. First responders including deputies, and firefighters from Miller Hose and Wrights Corners responded. But the man was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, authorities say his death appear accidental, but it remains under investigation. The man's name is being withheld pending family notification.
  9. Me and you have the same ideas, and by the looks of your picture..you don't need any advice from anyone lol
  10. Afternoons only until around the last 2 weeks of October and than both morning and afternoons sits to finish out the season. Early season you wanna keep the pressure down especially on small parcels of land. If you hunt in and around fields it will be hard to not bump deer in the field in the early mornings when trying to get to your stand. I strictly only hunt food plots and hay fields from oct 1st to about the 20th and do not even enter the woods because its just so green and thick still and usually warm weather so the big bucks will be tough to find.
  11. wait till at least Oct 1st and see what kind of natural scrape activity you have in your area, if any at all depending how temperatures are. Also try Code Blue's Grave Digger...it works.
  12. I take it urea is a powder fertilizer? Is it exspensive? The area deffinatly has the most moisture but its not like the plants are in standing water...
  13. Some of my brassicas are turning yellow in color and look to be growing in at a slower rate than normal, is this a nutrition problem? and if so, what type of fertilizer do i need or is it something i cannot help at this time.
  14. What did it cost you? if you don't mind me asking.
  15. hide it in a clump of trees, like where multiple trees are growing close together it will help conceal the ladder. Theirs a reason why alot of big bucks get killed from climbers and hang-ons with climbing sticks i believe they can clearly tell a ladder stand or homemade wooden one isn't supposed to be in the woods and will avoid those areas. but ladder stands are convenient.
  16. what is the maximum range for a 44. for the average guy deer hunting?
  17. Shouldnt this be in the cougar thread. lol
  18. Anyone have an positive experiences with rattling?
  19. What do you guys recommend for powder? always used pellets, last couple years i have used the white hots.
