Hold my beer ! ha grounds a bit wet ...

For Four months a year ,(Dec-March +) she works 80 plus hours a week , she’s going no stopping her ! Gal she’s going with just had emergency Gall Bladder surgery, but the less evasive procedure ,so they just moved it out two weeks, which happens to be when two ,male friends are going as well . The gal is a paramedic which is a nice catch to travel with , and the guys are gay, so they’ll have males around but, low threat ones .....

Of course it was a guilty verdict, if I was on the jury , it would have been guilty from day one . You think I want home burned down and my family beat and or killed ?

So #2 daughter is going to PR . Must have proof of a negative test no more then three days out upon entering . She gets there noon on Sunday , so test no later then Thursday afternoon , test takes a day or two to get results, cutting it close ! Now she’s fully vaccinated, well she still needs negative test ! Then with being vaccinated, negative test, you still have to wear a mask WTF . they’ve moved the goal posts so much they’ve circumnavigated the earth !

Well I only bought 8 cars over that period .

60k for that period . In ‘77 I bought a Pontiac Custom S Tempest for $650 . Pretty fast ,went trough flywheels like potatoe chips though .

GMC is just a Chevy with all the bolts tightened down . Prior to buying our 2018 Outback , from ‘77 to 2018 I paid about 60k for every car I bought in that period .

You must know different cops then I . Everyone here is not being proactive in anyway , just taking radio calls and then ,a slow response , priority one jobs are all backed up .Even FD and EMS is waiting a very long time for PD response, and often asking for State PD or other outside agencies hoping they’ll come into the city . My God the “ good “ ones aren’t backed by the mayors or city council, and just take abuse from the citizens . great time lol ,they are demoralized beyond belief can’t wait to retire , or transfer to the sticks . It’s the worst time ever for most guys . I workout with a number of young cops daily , the just F ing hate it .

Ha , my father in law was a farmer . He drove two wheel drive pickups ,with a bench seats , rubber floors , that I’m not sure he ever washed . If he wanted comfort he drove the Caddy .

I have my route all planned out , the liquor store up the road has 9 bottles of Hendrix Lunar gin in stock ( limited release ) , so I’ll go there first . Then head east to Target and grab a PS5 and some LEGO’s oh and a new IPad . Then over to Dicks ( I figure that’s ok since I’m not paying ) and grab a few pair of sweet Nikes , maybe a new pair of Muck boots ,perhaps grab some beef jerky at the door on the way out ,oh maybe put it all in yeti cooler ! Do they make ones with wheels ? Something to,think about , folks are talking about the Drs. Testimony, Drs kill over 250,000 people, a year through , “ medical mistakes “ ! Yikes hand full of cops dont follow policy a few die and the country burns . A Dr kills someone , calls his attorney, goes home and plays golf .

Sometimes it pays buy once cry once . Theses were my Grandparents chairs , so I’m the third generation using them , they sit outside 24/7 365 . Could use a little sanding and painting now ,the bench is from the ‘50s or so . If you look left and right of chair, you’ll see a lawn sprinkler and watering can of similar vintage , and perhaps see a pattern. Don’t buy cheap plastic junk .

Ha if I had a dollar for every old Italian lady I’ve seen with a plastic bag picking those weeds along the road . One who stopped IN the road , rt 104 access road to be exact .

Ok I’m sucked in . Got my RH set up ,linked to bank , a grand in but waiting for Friday for the rest to transfer . Plan for now is a few grand in each of , coinbase and a of couple coins . No short term crap , I’m riding the wave to the end baby !

My sister had a condo there for 40 years or so, they just rent it out , and go down a little bit to play golf, which I guess is good down there. They go end of Aug when water is warm and kids there are in school . I recall going to the store ,where they’d give you junk chicken pieces ,and we’d put them on a hook and line ( no pole ) and walk across the road ( condo was on the ocean ) and throw the baited hook in those channels over there , some sort of crab would grab ahold and you’d pull them up ,take them home and cook them up .

What an odd comment , they’ve always tried to weed those types out,what with an 8 hour psychological test administered by a DR , being just one component. I ve run thousands of calls with cops , tons of shootings ,ods hangings , stabbing , you name it , over all very very few I thought were AH or out of line . These were the spotless high scoring ones, how do think the ,” I got a 70, and they’re waving my misdemeanor “ ones will preform ?

Next time we meet up , I’ve 100 or so rounds of handball that’s of no use since I sold my only .40 a couple years back . Actually my daughters apartment in Buffalo gets a lot of sun and gets very hot , she’ll want me to come up and put her window AC in soon . ill PM you, and perhaps we can meet or I can drop it somewhere .

Ha, the real question is who will ever do the job anymore ? Buddy retired a bit ago, when he took the test in the mid ‘80s 7,000 did , the last one that was before all this started ? 400 . In the past you needed a score in the upper 90s and perfect background check ,I’ve had the same background check . 40 hours talking to all your past neighbors ,employers, schools, Drs, credit score better be high, clean driving record , excellent work record . Today ? a passing score of 70, and wavers given for a less then stellar backgrounds . No cops are encouraging their kids to pursue the career , city cops are seeking suburban transfers . One friend just transferred and I know of another who scored high on a FF test and will take that job after 15 years on the PD . Rochester current crime rate is very high, major crime investigators can’t keep up , and 50% of them are leaving this year . The ENTIRE command staff has already left , their replacements don’t meet the qualifications, the new “ Chief “ isn’t even a cop, yet wears a uniform and carries an old gun that’s not issued anymore and refuses to try and qualify with it . Sit back and enjoy the sh!t show , todays cops have been turned into largely report takers and it’ll only get worse as more and more veterans leave and those who stay have one goal, keeping their head down and getting to their 20 and leaving .

I’m thinking of dumping 10k in, through Robinhood ? Idk ,trying to,read and learn the best/ easiest way .

Coin thing seems interesting , but I have little interest in trying to make a quick 20k on something I’m not familiar with . We’re pulling in six figures yearly on balanced bond / stock funds . Just rebalanced them back to 60% bonds, 40% stocks . Been taking dividends and cap gains in cash as well . Not sure I’m willing to ,put the amount of cake in , to make truly large money short term , we’re at a weird point in the country . Same reason we held off on buying a condo in FLA. Thinking the coming inflation will depress that market .

Convicted on most serious charge- Some mostly peaceful riots Convicted of a lessor charge - Larger more widespread mostly peaceful riots He skates - weeks of OT for the cops and firemen across the U.S. , and adds a year maybe more to the ammo shortage . I have not watched or read word one on the trail , little need to ,to know how this all ends.

IIrc he’s up at 4:30 every morning to ride a bike for an hour ,then does some other exercise after work , seems to know a bit about nutrition and such too . His point is valid, there’s many mask wearing , covid fearing , vaccinated folks , who smoke , drink to much, eat poorly ,don’t exercise are over weight , but try to come off like they’re concerned about their health . ok me ? It’s Wed. I’ve got 4 hours in the gym, a few walks ,just got back from one along the lake . My breakfast was coffee, whey protein, coconut oil, collagen, stevia extract . later some raw vegetables. Then Lunch was homemade soup made with 8 cups of vegetables, bone stock , ground venison . No cookies, crackers , chips or processed anything . zero alcohol so far this week .

I’ve got a stack of those cards, all you got to do is scribble some numbers and dates on them ...
