they look like regular apples.... if you want to have a good crop, prune them out in the late winter and spray them... in NY you are limited as to what chems you can buy/spray but if u cross the state line to ct you can pretty much get anything you would ever want. it is almost impossible to remove 2-4-d from sprayers, either way it will grow out...never apply Nitrogen over 80 degrees

sprayer calibration is very easy for liquid...i spend just about every day from arpril to december applying granular and liquid fert and pesticides and would be will to help any of you guys if you have questions. To cal a backpack mark off 500 sq ft and spray it evenly as possible going back and forth and not spraying more then 2-3 left or right and see how many gals you put down. for example most 4 gal backpacks are close to 2-2.25 Double that and thats your rate per K, Now read the label and if it says 5 oz per K, and you used 2 gals for your test you know its 5 oz per 4 gals. be careful to read labels on liquid fert some can not be diluted past 3 gals per K and others need to be diluted more. You will need less NPK (3 numbers on the bag) with liquid due to no leeching and almost 100% utilization by the plant.

Rut it would be 80 yds down wind of a known bedding area with a nw or n wind in my face late season it would be near a food source with Northerly wind in my face.

Her's to the OP and the reason for the thread, I am half non-white and dont give half a $hit about any flag. I do not see how someone can point out a few things and be called a racist. Being half spanish I hate some of the spanish people more then any white racist you have ever met. if controlling the grubs does not work look into a product called "Mole Scram" or use a bait/poison like talprid

any granular or liquid pesticide containing imidacloprid (merit), trichlorfon dimethyl phosphate (dylox) or carbaryl (sevin) will kill them. make sure they are watered into the soil esp merit and dylox because they are photodegradable. those three are top choices with imidacloprid being the best, but other things such as synthetic pyrethroids will work but not as good. trade names are in (), and the ai is first.

i have said it for years, a hunter is the only person dumb enough to watch every move on a property for the owner. Being that hunters set cams, post and constantly check for movement and trespassers, they are pretty much a security system. most home owners love it and if you seem trustworthy they are willing to let you hunt that is why meeting in person is better.

i have a lime tree, it stays outside untill its gets cols and then i toss it in my garage. When I take it out I am going to prune it to promote growth and it will flower again. Keep an eye out for aphids and spray with a few drops of dish soap in a windex bottle or the insecticide Sevin (food safe). Just make sure not to do it within 2 or 3 weeks of flowering or when the flowers are blooming or you will kill bees if it is outside.
