I went to the oakflats stand in front of a bedding area and food plot..thick slashing on my down hill side. Below open woods ridge and open woods behind..Thought something would cruise down or across hill scent checking. Cam 100 yrds in front had 8 deer on it at one time and several buck the other night..cam in front of me had buck at 9:30 a.m. Nothing but 2 crow and I'm getting cold! Have extreme gear on but coat zipper was broken...and I'm using snsps..loosing heat.

So quiet to last 50 ft and got heavy frost heaving from wet ground..It' great out here so pretty

Until someone has a fatal heart attack and the land owner is charged with negligent homicide...

I'm thinking not 90 and with out ever seeing the deer everyone else seems to see...... just a couple hundred yards off my back line...I'm thinking not even 60... Just a bunch of deer that like to change their sheets often, as it were...LOL

Heres some inspiration for you freezing guys out there...neighbor sent me a pic...her grand daughters dad shot his first bow buck...Hey Eddie don't give up on the SIL land this came from that area...I couldn't be happier for him ...he's a nice guy...

Maybe Crappy...because on c e again the UPS guy along with the land owner behind us told me this week of the 60 or so deer that they count in his 30 acre field at night..Even my son has driven by to see them...I have yet to see more than 20 in the field....I suppose they had to bed some where .

Yes ...Now you'll love this..That was just her golden rod field..20 or so acres out of 100....So when I say sanctuary...even I didn't have a clue as to how true that is...I didn't even think deer would bed in an area like that.

Note going to lie...just not into it. I'm Tired ,I'm beyond sore, I'm discouraged.20 degrees feels like 9 and 18 mph winds with snow on the ground..I spent 2 days walking around in their bedrooms and yesterday said ,screw it and leaf blew half of The trails across the street...which I'm sure blew right back in WTH. Too dangerous to even think of being in our woods with these winds. I Do know a few things now....like I counted 90...Yes that's right 90 beds in the neighbors golden rod...then 23 scraps on the neighbors swamp on the other side of me..lost count of rubs..... Now my middle of woods cam had 155 pics in two days.since Apple's dropped...Oh and they ate every single oat nut off the mature oats and are now bedding in them....with all that we saw just 2 deer in 2 days on over 300 acres..never even heard deer running away....?????

Ya know I think she might...and that may not have occurred to her...

My luck is still holding..no deer we picked up trail and new blood got to road and lost it...not feeling good right now other than meeting a great guy and a special talented dog ..plus connecting with some neighbors that it's been a while... PS ....thanks for rooting for me though guys...One hopeful thing though...I pulled cards on way back...this date is one day ahead....

Man this has been a long morning in many ways...sleep deprivation and waiting for Bobs call...looks like that other search wasn't an easy one or he may have gotten more than one in that general area...he'd done 3 before me yesterday...

My neighbor had a severe falling their barn ..she tore out her shoulder and had to have a replacement... She showed me the scar yesterday in tears...because she can no longer shoulder a gun let alone fire one...I said if they could rig something to ease any pain of a weapon against that shoulder and scar tissue she should get a cross bow.. she can no longer climb but in a ground blind with a field pod to hold the bow she could hunt again. I may have to take her out next season... maybe this if she's feeling better...

Congrats... and be glad they were howling...I have been in the woods alone at midnight gutting deer ...to look up and be surrounded by very close front facing eyes...having not known they were there...That's when you start talking and very loudly...

I know if I ever spill that in a pocket Mr B will kick me out of the house until end of season...LOL...he complains about my fresh earth wafers....

Well I'm back and waiting for Bobs call... I'm on antibiotics...though pharmacy wasn't open yet so I'l have to drive back later...I Then Went to the neighbors and got new Numbers and explained the situation ... They were all great and had good chats. Upstate.... prayers being sent and best wishes too.....

Off to Dr.s they wanted me in right away.

Well I've told this before ...But.. I was against them...had some "discussions" on here over it ...I went to GanderMnt to pick up a 10.00 card reader and they had them hanging on the back wall... I thought in all fairness I had best at least pick one up and see what it's like before saying any more... Mind you I have a hard time getting clear sight pics on ANY scopes...don't ask Mr B actually had an instructor come out to help once. Well I picked up a Wicked Ridge and shouldered it...It was like it was made just for me...perfect fit perfect sight...I actually tried getting a bad sight pic on that scope and found it difficult to do. I had a bunch of gander points OK enough to pay for the bow and that was it went in for a 10.00 reader left with close to 400.00 x bow and accessories...

Go drop a big one...GL

Hhmm wonder where that post went...any who this just keeps getting better...NOT..Woke at 3a.m. with a pain in my elbow...I felt it in the dark and found something hard..I thought I had missed a rose thorn...no a tick firmly embedded in my elbow...I woke Mr.B to help and Well lets just say it didn't go well. We spent the next 40 min.s trying to remove the head which is now pretty deep and my elbow it a bit tore up...Off to the Dr's for me in the morning...I hope I can get this planned before or after Bob is ready to come back...Remember my mentioning the type of luck I have....It's given me a sense of humor...LOL Just got out of a hour long soak and soaping up in a very hot bath...Second tick I have ever found on me first to have attached..

I can only hope but some of these properties I'm not sure about passage..Will definitely need to talk to a few. But we were head back towards our place again..Dear Lord..I'm hoping I can walk in the morning...or even now...Lol..wouldn't it be funny if we find him in our swamp...hope sooner than that though.

Oh BTW..all that land we covered and saw just one deer...a fawn...
