  1. OK..You all know my stand on orginized religion, that said, your Troll comment is pure BS. We all know his stance and he CLEARLY made the subject of his post known in the title, unless your blind or stupid. Which I do not think your either. So NOTHING,NOTHING, but you forced your finger to click on this thread. That said your comment would make you the "troll"
  2. Doc this Persian carpet weed that invaded us years aggo ..you could burn it, flood it, cover it with a tarp and it will still grow ...only good thing about it is the roots are massive, but shallow ...easy to pull.and shake off soil..but it robs the soil big time. billions of seed and every single tissue roots when tilled This has been a tough season..replanted beans 4 times and man are my tomato plants are so short...so is my corn and peppers. That said..they are producing great fruit on them though..Also..the farmers corn field is only half as tall as it usually is this time of year. Oh my vine plants...just started to spread and flowering...
  3. Marinating pork lion chops and I'm really not sure what else...something from the garden..maybe a mix of cooked kale, chard, beet greens, and collards...thinking about green fried tomatoes...we have a ton of them... Last night was chicken sausage. long grain and wild rice, corn from last years crop(food saver, best invention),mixed green salad, and swisschard

  6. Due to EVERYTHING being a mud hole and looking to rain again I took the camera on my walk and took a few plot pics...until battery dies so here are some done...prepped and maybe a couple of re-do's...definitely many more that will be done when the WG seed come in...the alfalfa chestnut paddock plot is exploding with the rain and cold temps we are in the 50's here.

  11. All but the freezers and frig..listen storms are different on top of hills..we've had answering machines actualy blow up..we loose many trees to strikes and many have scars from ground to top from strikes. We have surge protectors. You won't find me near any water in the house during a storm either. Not All are bad but you can certainly tell when one will be..we've had several this year. PS... years ago while visiting my gramps he lived in a trailer in Dansvliie...he had his TV on and Dansville you needed cable to watch...there was a storm mind you in the village,so the valley..4 ft from where I sat the front of his tv blew out.. came in through the cable tv.

  13. Well pygmy...your mind aside...I probably did...when I called the DEC about it the sargent asked me exactly what happened step by step... I was hanging my outer hunting clothes in the goat barn as a cover scent...and stopping on the way out to put them on..."Thats it, you smelled like breakfast".. We agreed that with the coyotes in the area I needed to find a different cover scent..I washedthem and started dragging walnut shells stom poo ed in a mesh bag...lesson learned

  15. They are bringing home my deer fridg today...a big commercial double from what he told me months ago...let the hot weather reign I'll have a place to keep them... now I just have to figure out where it's going...could have used a few days for that but no looking down the throat of a gift horse. It will be nice not worrying about taking a shot due to weather.

  19. Ours den up in the woods...especially around the beech trees....I can tell in the spring where there is a den because you can see all the beech saplings they girdled all winter around the den sight...it sticks out in the woods especially in a deep snow year.... This year none on the cams and no sightings other then the one dead in our ditch....but with the crazy amount of fox on the property I'm not surprised...I't's GREAT they hunt my garden every night...We use to have the WORST vole problem...I could literally spend an hour 2x's a week going out and stomping vole in the garden...When We had Bear(dog) he would go vole hunting with me..he'd toss them in the air and catch them ...down the shoot whole...we wormed him often...lol
  20. Kinda tells ya something if the flavor of beer "needs" enhancement to drink......lol...Thanks
