I've used an HS True Talker for quite a few years now with some scattered calling success as well as rattling. Like you I don't use the calls until well into the pre-rut and during the rut. I got an Illusion Extinguisher deer call after this season ended and will try that out this year along with using the True Talker.

Hey Doc, I'm not up to speed on grafting, but I've heard that you shouldn't choose to plant Bartlett and Seckle pears together since they don't cross-pollinate each other. Hope this helps somewhat.

Anybody familiar with or use the Flextone Thunder Yelper, the Flextone Thunder Cutt'n, or the Flextone Cluck n Purrr calls? Thinking about trying them out and was looking to see how you like them. Also, what do you use as a good owl locator call? Was looking into the Knight & Hale Prudhomme owl call.

Cool...It's getting closer - Can't wait for May 1st! I went out shed hunting the day before the snow storm hit...no sheds found but the deer seemed to be everywhere and I saw a group of three long beards...one of them was strutting around like he owned the place! I think he was the dominant one of the group. Always nice to see as Spring gets closer.
