I had to make the switch to using the Draw-loc from Hickory Creek Archery due to my disability, and I will say that they are expensive and somewhat awkward to use. It will be only a matter of time, and the Barnett crossbow I have will replace use of the Draw-loc, and life will go on in archery season like it always has. Get used to it. Cabelas will be a nice addition to the area, that's for sure.

I like it on toast with blueberry-jalapeno jelly I buy that the Amish make.

Looks like Phil saw his shadow, so we are in for another 6 weeks of cold, snowy, miserable winter weather. More cabin fever!!

This years New York State Maple Weekend is March 22-23 and March 29-30 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Every year I take my 2 sisters to one of the participating maple producers where you can enjoy good time watching them making syrup, see how they tap trees and enjoy samples of the fantastic syrup they make. There are many maple products available to purchase, and different events and vendors you will find also. And a lot places have hayrides that the kids will enjoy and things to do. And it is great way to beat that cabin fever after a long winter. The participating producers are listed on line at maple weekend New York. And of course I am going to have a big stack of pancakes with the fresh syrup!!

Yea I remember the stickball, dodge ball in school but that's even banned now. So many things we did and active all the time. Now its done sitting in front of a computer and getting fat and diabetes and so many other things
