  1. Grow it will help. Grains rank out when they get too tall. Cut them back to 5" and you will be ok. I plant labor day weekend and the deer do the rest!
  2. I use slick trick standard and razor.....not sure I will ever switch to another head.
  3. I never planted BFO but have planted oats. I plant regular field oats the first week of September and deer hit it hard on my place come October.

  5. going up to my place. Not expecting much..think this year will be my worst plotting season to date.
  6. 5 lbs. An acre for brassica/rape. If mixed with GHR..3lbs brassica / rape and 4 lbs GHR
  7. i have always disced in 46-0-0 at planting and always got softball size turnips and huge leaves. the only time i have had issues is when i overseeded.

  12. The problem on my 100 acres is its not large enough. Since I have great food the does groups bed on my place and take all the interior bedding along the fields. By the time bucks get to bed its off my property. Doesn't matter how thick or where I place bedding areas. Does push them out.
  13. bow season get's all my attention. The last three days of bow season seem to be good on my place. I'll go out during regular season but don't take any days off from work.
  14. grow do the deer like brassica on your place? If they do I would increase your planting of it!
  15. my clover and oats get hit hard in september/october and then the corn, soybeans and brassica draws all the way from November to February.
