Yep, fixed Muzzy is all I use. They work great for me and are relatively inexpensive compared to others. I love them. -

Got him guys. He didn't run 75 yards. I'm very fortunate and lucky. I have my own property that my Brother and I purchased and we spend two weeks every year here, just laughing and making memories. Our boys are nearly of age where they can start coming. I just don't understand why more people don't get into this past time. It's such a wonderful sport, it teaches so many great qualities and creates forever memories.- 9078 replies

LIVE From The Woods 2021 Stories And Pictures Let's Have Em!

Hunters, I was getting discouraged. Haven't seen much and with the weather so warm, 65 degrees I was irritated. Well, enough said BBB = Big Buck Bleeding. I saw movement about 70 yards out and a decent rack. I hit grunt twice and he was on me. I put a muzzy through him at about 5 yards, I can see blood from the stand. I'll know more after my Brother finishes his hunt, I'm not going to mess his hunt up. I did hear crashing and know I double lunged him. Pics to follow.- 9078 replies

He's a fatty for sure, 425 is my guess.
-
Exactly, I haven't seen hardly anything. Even while driving to and from. Just so quiet, I'm thinking this week.
-
Well, I hope you get out and get a chance at a big one.
-
This guy was at my stand Wednesday but I was at work.
-
Yes, what's up with the lack of movement, just so quiet, I'm not really seeing does either. Hopefully soon.
-
I'm liking the confidence and hope so. Not a lot of deer movement for us this year, thus far. Obviously the rain hasn't helped.

Happy Halloween guys and gals. With us entering November, what is your opinion on the rut? Have they hit lock down yet. I hunt in 9p and my cameras have showed little to no chasing, followed by nearly zero deer activity. My week off is the 9th-14th. I'm just hoping I'm not too late. Thanks.

I love that, all with archery makes it so much cooler IMO! Awesome job....

That's beautiful! Excellent job with the bow and hats off to taxidermist. If you don't mind, what's that cost? I would like something very similar if I could harvest a yote with the bow.

Did you recover the arrow?

Can’t decide on a house and land or just a house
Taylormike replied to luberhill's topic in General Chit Chat
Hi Luber, You are older than me so I'm not really in a position to 100% relate just yet. I'm getting there. My wife and I actually discuss this often. As nice as it is having property right out the back door it's also difficult. Price for one thing, it has almost become unaffordable. Then the up keep and taxes and finally, if something ever happened and your wife was left with it by herself is too daunting and stressful. IMO, go get yourself a turn key ranch and enjoy it with your wife. The extra cost for the land while sacrificing for a newer home isn't worth it. Hunting is fun and great but knowing your wife will be taken care of and perfectly fine is priceless. Good luck to whatever your plans are and congrats on the soon too be retired! I have 17 years left but who's counting...... -
It's all about common sense, this should not be considered sexual harassment, especially when the person involved was a friend and didn't mind. This stuff has gotten so out of hand. I guess the two people that over heard will not be running in the turkey trot Thursday. 14000 runners packed in like sardines.

Like Moog said, your property so it's really going to be your call. If it was state land I believe the final kill shot gets the deer. Opposite of archery, which would be the best vital shot, I think... -

Not sure, west side if the road. -
People can be such POS's. Just no morals or values, especially over a deer, get a life. What an idiot, your always on camera these days but in this case that's a good thing. As many others have stated, 100% they know who he is.

Oh boy, the mature bucks are still in there feet, at 1130 a 150+ was walking through an open field near transit/roll Rd. He looked tired, neck was huge but he was walking with his nose about a foot off the ground and going, he had a slight limp. Heavy rack. -
You did everything you were suppose to. Although it didn't work out you made the effort. Keep head up, it's a tough sport and as the guys said above, it unfortunately happens to most if not all of us.

Been here a week. Slow on my property hut they're chasin, had 2 8's dogging 3 doe yesterday, they ran by me at 30 mph. Today a 4 did the same thing. Chase is on.
-
They're so tough, great job!
-
Awesome deer, awesome shot! He didn't live long...

Smart tracking, I'm positive he'll be there. It's when hunters push is when things get extremely complicated.
