I know a smooth bore is fine out to 100 yards from extensive experience. Think of all the deer killed with smoothbore shotguns over the years, millions. Bug holes at 50 yards...... -

My father bought the gun second hand from a friend, it came with the 20" slug barrel. The friend had a Weaver scope mount attached to the side of the receiver when it was new in 79 or 80. Dad bought it off him in the late 80's for a deer gun but then in 90 or so he ended up with a 20ga Ithaca DS. He gave it to me and I bought a 25" Rem Choke vent rib barrel from Al Johnson and it became my Pennsylvania dove gun until about 2000 when I ended up buying a 20ga Benelli. This package consists of the original 870 Wingmaster LW (Lightweight) with 20" rifled sight smooth bore slug barrel, it has sling swivel posts from the factory I believe. The Weaver side mount and ring/base combination, ready for your scope! The Rem Choke barrel is 25" with mid bead and white front bead and three chokes (Imp Cylinder, Modified and Full) along with factory choke tool. 3 shot plug included too for bird hunting. Note: the receiver is not a magnum receiver so only 2 3/4" or shorter shells in either barrel. This would be an exceptional gun for a young hunter/shooter or a lady in shotgun deer country. Or an old fat guy.....LOL The condition is used but in excellent shape for a hunted gun 40 years old. I'd like to keep this a local sale but would ship on the buyers dime, happily. If local, the buyer would have to find the FFL to do the deal and pay associated costs to FFL. I'll drive an hour to facilitate. $600 firm

Right now I don't do any work........Prior to the shutdown and hopefully after I'll be back to work in the window & door business locally. We primarily do installations of full frame (as opposed to pocket windows) custom windows and doors with custom stain and paint to match the existing homes decor. Pella windows & doors as well as Provia products. Some remodeling tossed in for the winter months too. I've been with that company for 5 years, before that I owned a nationally franchised cleaning and restoration business for 30 years. In my teens and early 20's I worked in two local full service garages; Eddies Exxon and Gerry's Mobil. Pumped gas, turned wrenches and checked out wenches........ My boss at Eddie's was Norb Falkner, deceased now many years. He made quite an impression on me.........a good one.

I'd be remiss to not mention the fact that those that are confined to home with their family of youngsters are probably getting the most out of this. There was a piece on the news this morning to that effect and it was nice to see......

Just curious what you guys & gals have realized a savings on during this 3+ week (so far) pandemic? Of course I'm not burning too much gas in my truck or putting many miles on. I think I've only worn my contact lens twice since the start. Heck we must be saving on laundry detergent and wear & tear on the washer and dryer since I'm wearing the same clothes for a couple three days sans the undies. I guess I'll be getting some credit from State Farm for driving so little. Not eating out in restaurants other than a pizza twice now but the money saved there is going to grocery stores, big time! So where are you saving?

BlackBeltBill will have plenty to add to this one. Hopefully he sniffs it out........

During a certain point in leaf drop each fall those yellow vanes and wrap could be almost impossible to spot after a pass through shot or (gulp) a miss. Back when I was more energetic and building my own cedar shafts I'd dip and fletch a half dozen shafts in red for hunting in snowy conditions and white dipped and fletched shafts for those supper colorful leaf dropped days. It was fun making those shafts..........
-
I'm not taking anything at all from the OP's arrows but traditional bowhunters have been making some spectacular wooden shafts for years. Cedar, Douglas Fir and many other types of wood.........footed shafts with custom burned real barred turkey feathers on stained, sealed and crested shafts are a thing of beauty.

Taxes are coming out of unemployment and the extra $600, hopefully that puts your mind at ease..........and, many of those getting that "free money" will be putting much of it back into the economy, trying to save businesses. -
I'm sure Jeremy K could PS any one of us in there or even our famous black man, Mr. Big. Thankfully he is donating his time today to improving the environment and won't see this.......
