She's an old one. At the VERY least, take that jaw to a DEC regional office and let them take a peek at it. Hell, you're paying their salary. -

No, they'd still have teeth. -
The love is in the air, you NEVER know what will show up. Stick it out.

I'd guess they would replace them for a small fee and no you won't have to re apply. I bet King Andy might have a different view of it though..........

Last night I was filling out my archery either sex tag and had a heck of a time reading it without my glasses. I had NO trouble with the solid color licenses...........camo? Stupid idea........................

Thats a good hunt! Forgive my ignorance, blue wing or green wing teal? I've only killed a few ever and it was 25 years ago. I guess they are gone around here when the season opens??

Killed an 8pt buck tonight. I'm going to be crippled up as I had a long uphill drag and I swore I'd never drag another. He's probably a 2.5 year old I'm guessing. I'll pull the lower jaw and see what the DEC has to say about it. One of the biggest bucks weight wise I've ever killed, actually the third heavyset I think, he dressed out at 172 lbs. The drag was about 200 yards. I took this pic as soon as I found him, no hero shots in the field. I'll grab some pics for the contest tomorrow.

Luck to you. I'm sleeping in, I killed a buck tonight and my butt will really be dragging.

I hope you guys did better on ducks today than I did...............................rained the entire 3 hours I was on the marsh. Shooting up in Hemlock swamp and somewhere on Canadice I'd guess but zip for me and Wonder Dog. THEN we get back to my buddies place and low and behold a dozen woodies on the pond. They get a pass though......... Oh look at that, the sun is out now. Uggh........

Clothing: outer and inner

Can you return those jeans? If so, do not hesitate. Grab your 54.99 plus tax and find an army surplus store and get a pair of surplus wool pants. German, Irish, African I don't think it matters. They will be head and shoulders better than ANY cotton jeans. Get a couple pairs of good long johns (NOT COTTON) made of merino wool but in different weights. You may not be the coolest looking guy out there but you will be warm, dry and in Fat City. Oh, if they get bloody or muddy just let 'em dry out and shake the crud out. -
I'll never do anything again other than running them through the grinder. Turkey Tetrazzini is where the ground is used. (thanks Tim)

DING!!

Hey Rob, you're the one that said this: "Not like the time differs much within the state. My rise/set time for the next week only varies by like 1 minute." I was just pointing out the difference between a couple areas in the state, one east and one west. The rest we've gone over........good luck.
-
OK, I see........I thought your correction was the sunrise time. So you got in at 6:10 instead of 5:10? No flame on the typo, I just asked you why you got in 2 hours before legal shooting time. How about that other little thing; the 1 minute variation in sunrise? Typo x2 I guess. Sunrise/sunset can bite you with the DEC I've been told!!

Check that time again...............
-
First..........The time of sunrise is almost 30 minutes different from East Aurora and East Hampton. Pretty substantial I'd say and why would you get into your hide 2 hours before legal shooting time? Anxious is a stretch. Oh yea........not sure where you are but in Albany NY the sunrise/sunset change over the next week is 9 minutes, not 1.
-
Hey Rob....what time is sunrise in your locale?

I use screw in steps and have for many years. I have some old rope on that I use occasionally low on the tree. I have a set of (I think) Grizzly Sticks rails (if that is the correct term) that strap on with one strap each that I like a ton. I also have a set of Lone Wolf climbing sticks but I don't think I ever used them. Something about the small peg on them that has me hesitant. I'm just curious about what you guys and gals use and like or dislike? Thanks................

I'm ALWAYS intrigued by twins. Yup, definitely different deer. Maybe not the same momma but we know dad can't dispute it....................I never messed with mock scrapes and drips. I guess I should look into it? Whats the drip delivery system consist of?

Probably never see him again..................

What's up with the name change?
