"What do you all have planned" I'm planning to come to YOUR place. You are definitely going to need help with that grub.............I can spin a pretty good yarn or two, burp & fart then I'll do the dishes and run the sweeper. Address? (probably too late for mailing an invite soooooooo)

There's no pics for a reason...................grin. I wonder how old it is, could be 20+ years old......? No trailer..........? -
I've had a few close calls with dogs in my business as I can be in a couple or three different homes a day and most have dogs. Had a scary one a month or so ago. I start up the driveway at a house in Akron and a BIG dark Sheperd pushes his way out the door and the homeowner screams, "DUKE, NO!" I'm half way between the truck and the front door and have nothing but the brains in my noggin to protect me............. I turn sideways and put my right arm out as that is my much stronger one and he comes running up and stops; barking and growling. The Mrs. grabs "Ol Duke" and starts to apologize for the scare, saying her hubby gave the dog a bath the night before and neglected to put his collar on! When i started up the driveway she went to grab the collar and it wasn't there! Oh well, that and a cup of black coffee gets things rolling PDQ. Don't even get me started on little dogs, I'll take big breeds over the little nippers any day.............

I chose Labrador Retrievers cause I own guns. If I didn't have a means to protect myself, it be a Shepard or some other mean ass looking thing...............................................

You had a knee operation last week and you are cleared to be doing all that?

Good read..................................... http://www.post-gazette.com/hunting-fishing/2012/01/01/Flintlock-season-represents-the-parting-shot-for-deer-hunters/stories/201201010301

Put a hurt? No.......... In PA they will/might shoot 1200 antlered bucks. How many antlerless bucks, who knows?? The state says we need to kill deer. How many guys have unused tags sitting on their workbench right now? The rest of your post makes no sense.
-
Mayhem!! Nice shooting, the DEC will be happy for you also.
-
Too many bucks for who, you? Their job was done during the rut. Have you spent much time with an open sighted flintlock or percussion cap rifle, in the winter? My proposal to the DEC would have the season end in the month of January, not December. I doubt many deer would be killed but it would offer another opportunity to fill unused DMP tags and get the numbers more in line for the DEC biologists. I've had this plan in the works now for almost 24 hours and it has been reviewed and endorsed by my Black Lab. I am NOT flying by the seat of my pants on this...................................

That'd be great shawn. Start your own thread for it. I'd be happy to cast a vote in favor of it.

He'll freak with this thing................I'd have to charge him something for the shipping but I'd be fair, maybe generous.

Crazy, no. Wealthy, yes. He has killed well over 200 deer, 3/4 for a grand slam of sheep, African hunt, blah blah blah. It isn't that important to him now. He would rather sit on his ass and wait....................... His land, his rules. He has approx 850 acres in two different counties I hunt on. He's a hoot to boot. He's divorced too........................................

I agree with much of this. I have a friend who has a piece of ground he is protecting. No going in at all from Oct 1-the end of all seasons. It is a very big wide creek bottom full of all kinds of the thickest nastiest cover. It holds a pile of deer and probably consists of 40 acres of his 260 acre block. These deer (the big boys) rarely come to the ag fields until after legal shooting hours, even early in the gun season. They have everything they need in their "Buck Cave";food, water and 'tail!! No reason to come out and get drilled.......... I keep telling him we need an elevated stand, close to the creek bottom. Trimming some shooting lanes all fanning out into the brush. I know they move around in there amongst themselves, just prime for the taking if we had the elevated stand properly set. Then, a quick trip in to haul out the spoils of the hunt................

Illegal as hell in this season..............

Tasty little birds they are.....................

That is a heavy duty 1.5yr old................ Weight is very interesting to me. To be honest, the 217lb 8pt I shot with the bow is as good a trophy or better to me as the 140" buck that went into the NYSBB Club.

I don't have the incisors, only molars. It'd be $49.95 per deer. I'll keep it in mind for future deer though. http://www.deerage.com/services_provided.htm
