I've been using a real good aluminum for 25 years or more. Paid $75 for it used at the time from Johnson's Country Store. If it got REALLY trashed beyond repair I'd go Pelican also.

This place is LOADED with newbies. They are showered with all kinds of horse manure from these horrid shows on the Outdoor Channel, Sportsman's Channel etc. With all the crap they see, how can you blame them? Hopefully they are here to learn a few things.

I really don't understand how you can judge the body or the rack from that picture. Kind of like holding a fish out with extended arms. Ever see that before? Give me a few more angles, please.

It'll happen. they'll show up at some point, if you've done your homework and I think you have. Just because you read these threads about all the other guys & gals seeing/shooting deer, don't sweat it. IMO, those scent eliminating sprays are snake oil X 1000. Don't fall for that crap. Rubber boots, clean somewhat scent free clothes and hunt the wind. Also, we are still two weeks a head of where we used to start the season. Don't even worry about these first couple/few weeks. Worry in November, grin.

I have to get some new/better chili powder. The stuff I'm using now has zero taste to it. It is the cheap stuff you get for a buck.............I know, I know, It's my own fault. I was just at Tops. bought some sour cream and a big fat white onion. We're going out for dinner tonight and backstraps for tomorrow night supper so the chili will be lunch. I have to get last years game in the freezer whittled down as I have victims waiting.......

Remember the restaurant the "Ground Round" from the 70's? What did they put in their chili, was is sour cream, onions or cheddar cheese? (or all of them?) I can't recall what it was they put a dollop of on the chili when it came to the table....I just made a big pot of it with 4lbs of venison and it is a bit bland. HELP!!!!!

I HELPED gobble down 3 of Cindy's Grape Pies from Naples last weekend. They had the grape festival in Naples and my uncle picked them up. Knock your socks off, amazing!!
