Either Obama or Coumo has to have a hand in it............................ -
Damn the luck! I hope the little guy heals up pronto. Halloween is going to be a bummer for him but I have a feeling he'll get up for it............school could be a problem though for him. Good luck! My son started kindergarten with a broken arm due to a fall from the monkey bars back in 1997. Crazy deal..........

What is going on withe the quote box? It appears to have disappeared...................... (I quoted the post above for reference) -
Ahh, Moose River Plains. Fond memories of that area! In 1986 we did a pack in hunt there. 7 guys on horses, wall tents etc. for 7 nights. We never saw a deer.....................................49 man days in the bush and ZIP. I saw a nice bear and one other guy saw a coyote. That was it. It really was a fun time though. I probably still have the topo maps with all my others, rolled up in the floor joists in the basement. One thing that wasn's so fun was at the end of the hunt one of the nags was tied to a steel fence gate, something spooked it (NOT a deer!) and it jumped and came down on a sharp piece of iron sticking off the gate. 150 stitches to close that baby up..........uggh. Good luck OP on your hunt, Post up some pics!

I tried to delete this one after I copied it to the non hunting thread. Regardless, they are sold.

The guy I used was highly recommended by a friend who is a rep for a big, well respected bow company. He said so & so is the BEST! Oh well................

Is cutting up your own out of the question? That will give you exactly what you want. Hunt down a grinder, boning knife, cutting board, Cling wrap, Freezer Wrap, masking tape and a Sharpie. Regardless, I'd think you could get a butcher to do it as long as he isn't jammed with opening day mayhem!! Luck.........................

Just to add, I had my Bowtech re-strung last winter by a great guy about 30 miles south of me. After much shooting the peep and string loop (both are in time with each other) are off by 90 degrees. I took it to a shop close to my home as I was short for time and he gave it a quick tweak but it still isn't like I want it. Without my own bow press or a couple hours of driving I'll have to live with it for now. If the guy I had do the work in the first place was local it'd be much easier. YMMV............................

I don't know for sure but a reputable shop CLOSE to him is a good place to start for a few obvious reasons.

Paid for by who? -
For quite a few years I could get thin synthetic gloves with the little rubber nubbies on them. They were the cats ass for darn near everything, especially spring turkey. They weren't that warm but gave a great purchase on a weapon, added some concealment and a little warmth. Can't seem to find exactly what I'd like anymore. Oh yea, they had a longer cuff than a standard jersey glove which helped hide my bronze Greek God-like skin from those wary predators.

So an on-line purchase should be your Huckleberry. Let us know how many you score...................

Two boxes of loaded rounds should be more than enough to get you sighted in and at LEAST 30 rounds to spare. The other gun, you have any other grain weights to choose from? I'm not to versed in those brush bustin' loads. Being a .35 Marlin (you mean a 35 Remington I assume as there is no such chambering as a 35 Marlin) I wouldn't think there'd be a run on them like an '06, 308, 270, 223 or The King 243 Winchester. As stated previously, where are you located?
-
I'd hunt it tonight. It won't make a difference as he may never show up again. Hunting a rub line, yea OK. But a single rub THAT size? Naww..........no biggie. BUT.......looking forward to all the replies to this!! Good luck with the hunt.....

If the cord is tied on the top section where it should be, you just pull it up with your hands not your feet. In the event of the bottom section falling from below your feet, it doesn't need to "catch" the tree as the cord will/better stop it from going to the ground.

I rarely use gloves when bow hunting. If it is cold enough to warrant it, I use the disposable pocket hand warmers. I think Zippo has a new system out I was looking at last year like the old Jon-e brand???

I'll know when "he" shows up.
