Agreed all the bucks I saw today were just cruising and no real chasing. Although my wife texted me there was a huge buck in our yrd chasing 3 doe around. Always takes some wind out of the sails when I should have been hunting out back yet I was at my other spot. Dang it all.

First day of vacation, 4 bucks this am & 5 doe. 3 bucks and a ton of doe tonight. deer 1 me 0

First time they will get one hell of an ear full and a stern warning next time he can talk with the deputy.

finding a trespasser 2 different times on the trail cam today. Dang cam was just low enough that the pic ended about mid shoulder. Think im gonna make a trespassing sign specifically for him on the lane way he seems to frequent. Or better yet I see him this coming week since im off all week. Man i have no tolerance for that crap. You stay on your land ill stay on mine. Why cant it be that simple?

Wife had plans today so my 6yr old went with me. Saw 2 bucks by 7:30 by 8 we were headed bk to the house because he was cold. Dang it

One windy day yrs ago during bow the wind was whipping like no tomorrow, after about an 1 1/2 hrs into my morning hunt I hadn't seen a thing I convinced myself to get out. As soon as I hit the base of the tree I looked up the trail and a decent buck was heading right to me until he saw me climb down. I don't know what it is but id rather sit in the rain than the wind.

Make an official looking sign saying caution rattlesnake nesting grounds keep out!!

Aww man that's a nice freaking buck. That's why this is my favorite time of yr.

I would be on the line but I have permission for both side. Lets face it if a nice buck walks on my side of the hedgerow past him, there's a pretty high chance he shoots. If I do see him next week ill have to ask him.

My spot is a small private piece I only bow hunt during my week vacation that's coming up. It borders farm fields (my family has permission to hunt there). His stand is in the hedge row that is the property line, he is set up to shoot the field and my side. His stand was there first. I have a stand set up further back and I have to pass his to get to mine. The reason I asked this question is last yr I was unable to get to my stand for morning hunts due to hearing bucks chasing doe over by my stand. Where he is setup its just before the point id spook deer entering. I will end up probably settin one up about 100yrds away. I guess that called residential hunting.

I need to hang a stand one of my hunting spots and someone has a stand right in the hedgerow/property line right near where I want to hang one. I will only use this stand for the first week of Nov and then take it down. What's do you think is an expectable distance between mine and there stand?

Right on 63 about 2-3 miles north of rt 20 towards Batavia not sure of the name.

Let me add its our new property that im hunting for the first time. I believe its a better evening stand mainly because its setup between bedding and feeding and I think a great funnel connecting our block with another block of woods. I can drive up the seasonal road in the afternoon set up and wait for them but it could be a great morning spot I just haven't gone there because I wasn't certain how to access in the am.

True story, weeks ago I was really sick for almost two weeks, On my 2nd doctors visit and some tests doc and I start talking about ebola and I joke watch you'll find something and have to call the health dept and ill make the news. Good news is I didn't make the news bad news was I did get a call from the h dept!! I feel like a million bucks now!!

So I have a stand located on a funnel near the north corner of our property. I mainly hung it for evening hunts due to access. I want to hunt it in the morning but am concerned about getting into it with minimal disturbance. I have two ways to access, one is driving up the gravel roads passing fields along the way to park in the pull off. Im afraid ill make it known im coming in. Two, I can walk almost a mile thru the woods in the dark along the east side of property then cut down along the north end. I feel like either way im busting deer. What's your thoughts?

Scrapes yes rubs seen one. But I don't walk around looking for sign, just what I see in route to stand.

Yeah we all have those times, good news is its early still!! Usually ill hunt in my back yard or my other 2 spots with out fail every yr ill be at one of my other spots when I get a text from my wife saying there is a big buck in our yard.
