Well with some delays I got the permit submitted May 1st. 3 of the 4 ref already mailed back there questionnaire, the 4th just got back from vacation yesterday. So far so good!!

I've told this story before, I was after this nice tom who owned me. He would pass thru a small wood lot on his way to the field. I would setup where I thought he would come thru and he would come by out of range. I would call he would gobble back but never committed. The next morn id setup were he came thru the previous morning and he'd walk thru were I was the morning before. After this happening multiple times I went to dicks on a Friday night and bought a $60 dollar strutting decoy. Sat am I set him up with a hen 20yrds into the field. I setup just inside the woods. Lucky me he was roosted maybe 60yrs from me. He flew down into the field looked at the decoys and bee lined it full strut till he met my turkey load. I ended up mounting him full strut. Most expensive bird yet. Last spring my hen/strutter combo sealed the deal again with another mature bird!! I have to agree with others, I've had no luck using them in the woods.

TBug, im with you. We injected one with hot sauce and fried that bird. Always a good time drinking with your hunting buddy's while the bird fryin!!

I took off Thur and Fri. Saturday were holding our annual handicap hunt!! Gonna go listen for birds in the am!!

Man im with you, I thought after this crappy weather they'd be extinct. I thought I read somewhere that with our previous mild winters that helped rise the population and we needed a good cold winter to kill them off. Damn those things.

I shot my gun with 3 1/2 inch Saturday at 60 and its pretty damn deadly. Doesn't mean ill take those shots but knowing I can is pretty damn cool for a turkey load.

maybe 3inches wide. At 40yrds you would have thought it was a 20yr shot It was that good.

with my son. We took a quick walk this afternoon. Once I spotted it I made him find it. He had a blast finding shot gun shells and old deer bones!! I have no idea how the pics sideways, oh well
