  1. good post grampy. I'm in the same boat and thinking about a .223 AR as well. As much as I also dislike the fixed top load, I do think it's better than the featureless by a mile. I'm not a 3 gun or gun range guy, so 10 rounds and a speedloader with all the features isn't so bad for the hunter.
  2. couple other thoughts. Had the bills beaten the texans and somehow upset the chiefs, we'd have a home afc championship game. The city would have burned! also packers chiefs rematch for the 100 year anniversary would be pretty sweet.
  3. heck of an emotional swing Biz. I thought as a bills fan it couldn't be worse for blowing a 16 point lead. But to blow 24 and then lose by 20? that's insane. Really none of the games I thought were too great this weekend compared to last. The chiefs game was fun in the middle, the packers game wasn't bad. The titans and niners games snoozers in my opinion.
  4. Perhaps if you take off the clown outfits and actually behave like humans, ^ this part of the post is the most interesting to me. There really is NOTHING more human than hunting and gathering. Without that we never exist, evolve and live in the world we live in today. Without that, there's no reproduction, no love, no loss. To say the hunting of animals for food for energy or hide for shelter isn't human is one of the most ignorant comments one can make and I welcome a good well thought out rebuttal.
  5. thanks for quoting so I could read. I unfortunately haven't done any of those things and the education question is flawed as I went to university. darn. Also triggered by the God question, but find it funny that the username is teacher. The great state of NY's teachers everyone.
  6. I talked to one of the guys there for sure. Was looking at the M&P sports and a few of the others on the table. The guy explained how it was legal with the fixed mag and top load with a speed loader, which was interesting. Good stuff.
  7. Were you a vendor? I might have talked to you haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Appreciate it, but not too interested in a single. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just got home. Took the 2 oldest after the gym to kill some time on this rainy day. Worth the $8 in admission just for the browsing. I was looking for a lightly used .243 and never found one that was worth the asking price. Some old, lots of new and I’m sure some decent deals if you’re hunting for specifics. Also interesting to see what the guys at all star tactical are doing to make NY compliant ARs. Might do some more research on the .223 if I really get into predator. 11. many say a good vac sealed piece of wild game is edible up to 2 years. I've never had the pleasure of my meat making it past a year even with 3 in the freezer. Typically I will make anything leftover into sausage in the summer and I know my dad does the same. Takes leftover uneaten freezer to costanzas in the early fall. And no, there's no truth to any issues with freeze, refreeze.
  12. I understand the new store logistical issues, but these guys have been in business a while. The processes should translate pretty smoothly minus maybe some of the NY gun stuff. That's a little concerning, honestly I was just looking for some scope covers because the one I ordered online doesn't fit...
  13. I bet 80% of the people who collect guns share the same feelings haha. Stereotypes come from a real place.
  14. everytime I go I never seem to find a deal that I couldn't get from gunbrooker. Would like a .243 and a redhawk though so maybe worth a trip. is their admittance fee?
  15. someone help this idiot out then, i can't find anything in NY https://www.sportsmans.com/store-locator
  16. So I know they bought some field and stream stores including the one in Henrietta. But their website still lists Altoona PA as the closest store. Does anyone know when they're opening? I need some stuff and still refuse to shop "those whose name shall not be mentioned". And that really doesn't leave much else.
  17. Anyone sent a message to John? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah someone/something is redirecting. I’d honestly advise you guys to stay away and only use tapatalk until it’s fixed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Only way I can get in currently is tapatalk. Seeing as I’m at work I’m not going back to browser. First time I got an”site blocked” and about shit myself wondering what my future held, and then tried again and won prizes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. eh i'm not sure he didn't have intentions to win. his ego is insane. guys like that dont just do shit for giggles. they're often borderline delusional and so disconnected from reality. See Bloomberg as an example from the left.
  22. lynchburg is a smaller college town, but right on the mountains. One of the guys who I work with shoots nice deer and bear every year there. He loves it. Still seasonal but not the nonsense we get in NY for winter. And CHEAP cost of living for sure.
  23. i have 2 sites in VA. Roanoke and Lynchburg. Both nice towns with a ton of great public land access nearby.
