  1. but took the time to type out your non comment...
  2. what i was trying to say is that some brush off dicks move because they're not a major player. I'm saying that it'll hurt their overall sales. Kind of like walmart where you go in to get something and end up with a new camping stove. As far as a revolt... that's what we need, splintering! worked so well for the dems with bernie I can't see how it wouldn't lead to a dem in the office if the right did the same. Havne't learned from the tea party I guess.
  3. i believe that is correct. Despite my displeasure with this, it should not affect the father taking his kid hunting, to the range or even buying a gun for his son or daughter. I'll be honest. Of all the things that could have come out of this, if I were a florida resident this isn't that bad. It should affect them very little. Compared to the safe act's affect on us. Again, I do not support it, but it could have been a lot worse.
  4. there really is no reason to burn coal. Y'all have no idea how bad that stuff is for the environment despite what your blogs tell you. But as an environmental engineer with a decade plus worth of air permitting... what do i know? it's all about time. I actually enjoy wood prep. It's kind of the same reason I like mowing the lawn. Outdoors, exercise, productive. But time is the issue for a lot of us. More precious than anything.
  5. I was in florida during the warm spell. So I haven't had a chance at all to get out so it's been upsetting. Seems like all the weekends are snowy and my cabin fever is hitting full peak. I've cleaned and washed just about everything in the house just to stay busy lol.
  6. a nice booty. Don't care much for boobs. But an ass I can bounce a quarter off of? Gets me every time.
  7. could be they sold out after the bunker guys came out fearing for a ban.
  8. People miss the big picture. Them giving in to pressure will not gain them any new sales of soccer cleats in the fall. The mom on facebook that says she will buy from them now is full of shit and will still go to walmart or amazon like she did before. But what it did do was piss off a bunch of outdoorsmans. So maybe we're not the majority of their sales or even close, brick and mortar stores can't afford to lose any retail shoppers. Hell, toys r us is closing and they're basically all anyone used to go to for toys.
  9. I’d have done the same in the past too. Heck 4 pairs over the winter for the family. 3 boys all getting into sports and they won’t get a dime. My plan going forward is online or small shops Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I grew up with nothing but wood. Lot of work and certainty one of the chores required for my allowance haha. I could never imagine having only wood. That gas thermostat is just perfect for those tweener days. Burned hopefully my last fire yesterday even though it wasn’t that cold I really like the ambiance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. i'm a weekend burner and this is the second winter in this house. 4th with a house in ny with a burner. And I probably burned the second most ever this year. Mine is an insert so it's more about taking the chill off and the ambiance. works nice at night when the wife gets into some wine... now only if I can succeed in that bear rug goal of mine
  12. Did y’all walk to school uphill both ways in the snow without shoes too? Geez Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  14. On the blood of the indigenous people. Tear down their statues!
  15. bingo. many work to buy "stuff" that they don't need. Because society tells us that we do.
  16. it's sad and true. Even adults can be guilty of browsing social media and seeing how "happy" people are and discounting their own lifestyle. Very similar to the guy with the nicer fancier car. What is lost in social media, is that despite some white trash out there, nobody shares all the shitty things going on in their life. So teens assume that it's just their life that sucks and everyone else is super happy. i really worry about my kids when they grow. My hope is that their exposure to the outdoors and what really is important in life will drive the right behavior and thinking.
  17. I like it. I have "older" ruger american and no complaints. What's this chambered in?
  18. showing this to the neck European who makes a redneck comment
  19. and armed teachers wont be there to guard the school either. But to culver's point, they're still a body with a gun. My point still being, the shooter knew he was there and proceeded with his plan anyhow... so how much of a deterrent would armed teachers really be to a psychopath?
  20. i'm not sure one of these shooters cared much for their own life. none of them hardly make it out alive or kill themselves. you're applying logic to it. This last guy was so messed up we can't begin to understand. Heck, if the on duty guard and FBI did their job we wouldn't even be having this conversation. And he knew the place had an armed guard. didn't care.
  21. woah, woah, woah. I never said that there aren't capable teachers. However, I don't see a system that could be instilled that is feasible and would be worth the risk. I've had a fairly successful career in risk mitigation. It's what I do all day long. I look at arming teachers as not worth the risk. It's really that simple. Just because we disagree on this, doesn't mean you should lump me in with the left. I'm a gun toting, red blooded, deer shooting NRA member. I just don't believe arming teachers is smart.
  22. general odd are less. A few trained personnel per school whose sole purpose is protection. Or tens of thousands of teachers whose main goal is educating children.
