  1. ditto. I'm for closing the boarders and the travel ban btw. I just also believe there isn't a solution to stop it all forever. people suck.
  2. to the land buyers. Question. My dad curses my mom for not letting him buy "more land" when they were first starting out. At 63, he is certainly in a better financial situation now and admits they couldn't afford it then. I've passed on land for a nicer house/commute/school district and I don't think I'll ever regret that. How many of you really had the means in your 20's to buy land?
  3. what about the 2 US non-muslim guys? One killed 50+ in vegas and the other a bunch in a church. A lot more damage done by them then the 2 recent terror attacks.
  4. great question and I don't know the answer. I know in Mississippi, your car was an extension of your home. Didn't even need a ccw for your car or house... but in NY? idk. I have had my hunting pack stolen out of my unlocked truck just last year. recovered and nothing lost from a neighbor kid, so yes I'm heightened to this fact. I do have a lockable counsel in my truck, sure isn't a safe but it can't hurt, other than quick access when i need the gun haha. it's not the loss of my pistol that i'm worried about, it's the pistol getting out on the street and I would rightfully feel responsible for that.
  5. I have enough handguns that I could afford to leave one in my ride. However, even though I'm diligent about locking my doors and park and live in relatively low risk areas, the idea of someone breaking in and stealing a firearm terrifies me. On long trips, or weird weather days like today I do bring one with me... but it got me thinking about the world we live in and how at any time something could happen on the road where I would need it. thoughts?
  6. at 34, there's not enough "old me" when it comes to hunting. I think I did everything I should as a kid, including puting in time. I'm also not sure I made any real bad decisions from lack of experience. I still haven't lost a deer with the bow, but could have made some better shots with the gun... but I think those were good learning experiences. Certainly lots I could do better... I guess if i picked anything it would be to spend more time with my grandpa.
  7. you're so ignorant. Bangladesh is a country in SE asia. This assclown wasn't on a watch list and was here legally. There isn't a history of isis in this region. Why would you punish his family? His kids should be left to starve because of their father's actions? Hope nothing bad ever happens to you
  8. i can relate to this. I almost pulled a trigger on a foxpro last year. I have everything else I would need. But with a long deer season, then turkey in the spring I just don't see a lot of fun and reward in it. I still might try it someday, but I try not to push my luck with the wife
  9. I believe short white hair is brisket and long usually guts. Despite the ground level shot you could have deflected... more likely with rifle than slug though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Were you in a stand? Could be exit shot out went low. Also could be liver and she didn’t die right away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Ive seen plenty a deer that coyotes got to overnight but never to that extent. Wow. On a side note, you did the right thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. we're a jealous bunch when lady luck isn't on our side. I hate that the coworkers i hang out with who hunt add to my pressure. Of course it's not intended and it's not a competition. We just all like to show off our "trophies" and some years we just don't have them. Not a lot different when the extended family asks "did you get anything".
  13. spring turkey and fall bear for me too. although fall bear was more of a lark then serious pursuit.
  14. what i suffer with is a self inflicted passing of doe during archery, only to see my opportunities diminish during gun. this year was a rare bit with the neighbor, but still the same it's what you get when you pass early.
  15. don't come at the troll master unless you're ready to tango. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/yep yep [yep] Examples Word Origin See more synonyms on Thesaurus.com adverb, noun, Informal. 1. yes. Origin of yepExpand 1830-1840 First recorded in 1830-40; See origin at yup
  16. I feel like you're insinuating those with a cellphone bill are living outside their budget... maybe it's just within for some?
  17. yep just yesterday i congratulated a guy for his double.
  18. there's also the internet police. Hey i see something that looks like corn in the background or you shot that 2 minutes before legal light, that crossbow is illegal in ny etc. And I only mean that with regards to people who aren't intentionally breaking the law. It's good to be educated on something you're doing wrong, but it doesn't take much for people to go after you... like poor grammar
  19. it's a sad sign of the times when this is the most active topic and it's still open deer season. TNT - We know drama
  20. ok. I swear i've seen that truck with that window sticker around.
