  1. you may not be wrong, but we keep advancing in areas where we never thought it could be better. so why just "give up"? I mean, we all know a recurve can still kill a deer, but we advanced just the same. I just don't like supporting what is basically patent infringement. I agree with what you said about Chinese manufacturing and what we ask for is what we get. This is different. this is just copy paste and it's illegal.
  2. i have the witness mark on my rod. Mostly because it's not a smooth push in my cva and i want no doubt that it's properly seated, but also that i didn't push too hard either.
  3. so buy from a competitor, not the knockoff. wasp, nap, g5 etc. see all the new competition to the shaving world? You know what happened? Gillette lowered their price on blades for the first time in decades. support the legitimate competition.
  4. amen. My time alone is so valuable that after all is invested, I'm not leaving the final outcome up to something from the dollar store.
  5. let me introduce you to corporate america. Once your initial investment is returned, we enter into what we call "profit making". Every companies goal is to maximize said profit. Have you seen head and shoulders decrease in price? No, they keep raking it in as they have every right to. Remember not all products are a hit either, some never recover their R&D, so you make it while you can. The beauty in fair capitalism is that it drives competition and better products for us. Buy all the Chinese stuff and we wont continue to see advancements in broadheads.
  6. I saw news 10 and figured this was local. then i didn't recognize the anchors. And i'm like news 10 abc? Am i in the twilight zone? lol
  7. trim that sob good. you'd be surprised at what even rotted old trees can be saved with some good pruning. late winter is best. not before winter as the open wounds wont have time to heal. but early enough (februrary) that you're in time before spring growth. get the suckers early too.
  8. where is that? everywhere on 10/1 is going to be in the 60's.
  9. you'll probably never know and it's likely not a hunter. what i think it boils down to is that people don't like being filmed. little do they know how "on camera" they are every day.
  10. y'all don't understand how climate change works. but i digress, i forgot you're all degreed scientist and engineers in the field and i'm not.
  11. jesus. and now that your boat tires are out of air the ducks will change their pattern? we hunters and humans are so ridiculous sometimes.
  12. no real disagreement, but rage is just about as expensive as it gets. again i would urge hunters to switch brands before buying counterfeit crap that hurts the companies out there working for us (yes even if they pay celebrities).
  13. sunday looks perfect for morning. 50's and 60's all day for early bow! would love the temp drop to have hit that day and not thursday though. i'm sure it'll get them moving.
  14. i still dont get you guys shooting at bags on the ground. I know it's about aim, but I'm not shooting ground hogs. Practice like you play.
  15. so don't??? at least buy another vendor then. the Chinese version is straight patent violation and supporting them is not helping companies that make hunting products. There are plenty of other good heads out there.
  16. if i read this right, it's just the county trying to educate? not them pushing back at all?
  17. definitely popping up again inside. I heard of a trap that's water in a bowl/pan with dish soap. Shine a desk lamp on it. going to try it as i'm sick of the wife bitching lol.
  18. but there is an american engineering, sales and marketing staff. anyhow, i don't know why you're so defensive. buy the Chinese stuff, I was just giving my opinion on why i buy the authentic ones.
  19. it is kind of funny that those who procrastinated are dealing with this. I like to get this stuff done early and get out and let it settle. I know we're all really busy but man these last 2 weekends have been brutal for stand prep.
  20. I shoot maybe a deer if i'm lucky every season. I've never felt that $10 a head was a deal breaker for me. Of all the time, energy and money we put into hunting, $9 for trusted quality and supporting an american business has always been ok with me.
  21. If you're going to use a bag I recommend placing it on a table or hay stack. No deer has vitals 6" off the ground [emoji41]
  22. 20 to 35 for all our stands. More typically 25 and up. Rarely busted, but be sure you practice and understand how those angles affect your shots with regards to vitals. In a climber I never got over 15 lol. Busted more.
  23. You'd also be surprised that they will bed near the road. Which is also where there are no hunters lol
  24. Our pool closed today... couldn't we have had this weather instead of that shit cold we had the end of August? Ugh...
