where is she going? my wife has her pt degree.

going away is one of the best things a young person can do. You need to go out on your own a little to understand what you really want in life. Going away doesn't have to be a plane ride but it shouldn't be next door. It's why i decided not to go to RIT.

idk. maybe because my parents were from syracuse but when you start 315 i think you're central. at least that's how i looked at it growing up
-
it is not fall it will be almost 90 today
-
I know syracuse is clearly central and buffalo clearly western which is why rochester is sort of the city with no home and maybe we just draw the line down the middle there. Heck we even have east and west sides of the city/area.

I'm glad i have 3 boys. Sending my "daughter" to college would terrify me.

i love muck. they eventually wear like anything else, but it's always well into their use and worth the money.

Charlottesville: Race and Terror
Five Seasons replied to diplomat019's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
vice's documentaries are all very good watches. However, they're pretty bleeding heart liberal so when they get political just be careful what you absorb. They often tell the side of the "victim" without the other sides story. I've watched 3 seasons of there stuff because i do like the non-political topics they cover. -
I guess i don't remember what I said that was nasty. I thought it was a pretty good back and forth discussion. I don't know how to search a thread for content i posted and if I did say some nasty stuff than i'll eat crow, I just don't remember it. There's really only 1 person on this site who gets under my skin and theres only one other person who I troll. was it me encouraging steve to try assplay with his wife? I think ole JC can be down with that.

surprised nobody is shooting the CE red's. That was going to be my next arrow. Maybe i'm marketing brainwashed.

I can't be both religious and still not find issue with dudes who want to be woman and vice versa? Maybe I don't subscribe to the man made laws. Maybe I subscribe to what Jesus said. Love thy neighbor.

yep and it's still in the cards. But 2 plane tickets and honestly for us a guided hunt or at least a good place to stay is needed. It adds up quick. -
it's like baseball man. people don't like change. Men tinkered with religion. thousands of years ago it was also a political tool. I think we're having our "come to jesus" moment to reflect that.

that's a little salty. While wolc maybe a little out there with his beliefs, there's no need to attack him over it. you've never wounded or lost a deer? Man just when i thought stubby had the market cornered we have another all-pro hunter. This is my approach to how the lord has helped me. I don't believe he guides my arrows. I don't believe he just "does it" for me. I believe he has helped instill virtues like patience, dedication and intelligence which drives me to be better at what i do. He is not the tool, but the road map to success. Follow the golden rule and generally things will work out ok.

Stopped by Henrietta today. Only 15 days left and it's slim pickings. A few long guns and no pistols. Still some decent ammo available and I bought a pair of those thermacell heated feet things for $55.

Are there any restrictions on quartering and packing out game?
Five Seasons replied to uberyan's topic in Deer Hunting
i'm familiar with LI. I live in the burbs too. I just put a hoist in my garage. Do you not have a garage? Even if cars are parked in there, you can't get yourself a temporary 6x6 space to hang and cut a deer? You can buy portable hangers and even those that mount to a hitch, check cabelas. I know you're new to hunting and maybe you didn't mean to come off the way you did, but I'm trying to help. I repeat, you do not want to hang a deer outside anyhow. The only reason anyone quarters a deer in the field is because it's in a location that's really hard to drag it out. Typical game that is quartered in the field is larger animals like elk and moose. You want to hang your deer if at all possible, you can read the 780 articles online that explain why. But just the act of field dressing can be a pain. There's nothing fun about it when it's really cold... or really warm or even worse if it's raining. Then you're going to have to skin it while it's quartered which isn't ideal, or skin it in the field which will leave your meat exposed and covered in hair and dirt. Heck lets not forget dressing a deer in the dark! I imagine you'll get tired/annoyed and then sloppy and end up wasting meat. Again, this is hard enough in a nice garage with the deer hanging. You'll also need a nice sized cooler which isn't cheap and some ice and then you'll have to clean that mess out too. What you're asking about isn't impossible or wrong, but it would be my last resort. I would pay a butcher before I quartered a whitetail in the field. -
wow I'm bummed i just saw this thread. What a cool project. Until the last picture I thought you were living in a shack next to a giant barn. But it appears you just have a bunch of other out buildings too? I'm curious, what do you plan to use such a large barn for? I had a modern pole barn and i understand that if you have the space you will fill it. Just curious if this was a restoration of love to save her from coming down or if there's an intended use.

i understand marriage is about compromise... but do you have a garage, big shed or barn? That's where most of us do our hanging processing anyhow. I would really avoid yard hanging for many reasons. bugs, animals, heat/wind/rain etc. would she mind if you hung it in the garage? typically overnight is all that's really "needed" for a good drain. getting into aging is a whole nother discussion. -

always wanted to do a bow spot and stalk elk with my old man. Still in the cards maybe, but he's getting up there. I wouldn't even care so much if we were successful. the experience would be amazing. -
