  1. What you say is true but it's not your best option. The area is smaller with some nonvital areas and of course loss of meat and cape.
  2. I think most of us are talking about freezing shoulders before thawing to grind. I wouldn't refreeze steaks or chops
  3. After the eighth doe I couldn't wait any longer and now my freezer is no longer empty
  4. Just read my old man's outdoor news. A few quotes from this topic in their article. Pretty cool to see the author picked the ones against the plan. Glad that paper's taking the right side.
  5. I'd be more concerned he will fall to infection, disease or yotes after that kind of hit
  6. I've done it, but prefer to semi-freeze the ground before mixing. A lot depends on what's going on in my life after the harvest
  7. Lot a good action this am. Let a nice 6 without browtines walk. He will be a nice shooter if he survives.
  8. I've had it spook doe. I've seen it bring in smaller bucks. I place it in the "if you're desperate" category.
  9. Bow hunting at my dads place sure does make you homesick... Then seeing my first fucillo commercial made the nostalgia go right away haha
  10. Hard to believe the season ends today. Even harder to believe how well I can see and the dec says I can't shoot.
  11. Had a beautiful 3.5 eight tonight. 4 times over 3 hours he toyed with me... Never gave me a shot. Had some opportunities at some does near sunset that I won't pass tomorrow. Good to be home
  12. He's the only guy I'll watch. Love Steve
  13. What a dumb post. Open your weather app and check the sunrise and sunset.

    Wind

Arrived yesterday afternoon after driving 1.5 days from Mississippi with 2 kids, wife and dog. 2 weeks of vacation with hopes to bow hunt 2 days and do some gun hunting. Proud I didn't murder my family. Upset with this hurricane. Still almost went out this AM in 8f, but wind, rain and warm just don't mix 30' in a tree with a bow. Booo! 15. I don't dry anything other than hanging. Scent free soap is only going to be a few dollars more than baking soda. It's not substantial and you really just need half of what you would normally use unless your stuff is covered in blood or mud. I don't wash my outer layers at all except before and after the season. Only stuff touching my sweaty skin gets washed at any frequency. I have the same bottle of detergent going on 3 years now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Eddie you're in Ontario right? The station at 104 and knickerbocker has ethanol free Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Maybe

So because you can't afford a bow hundreds of thousands of hunters must adapt? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Many may not care about others pics, but just remember were under constant scrutiny from antis. I too have many "for hunter eyes only" style of pics, but the ones that make Facebook are always tasteful. Just my .02. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. thanks. was wondering how long this was going to go.
