please explain to me how you deciphered that from my post and how another object that goes boom changes anything? there are rifle counties allover the state. There are not "crossbow" counties. Very few pumpkins care much about the tradition of "shotgun deer hunting" the case is not the same for bowhunters... unless of course there is a NYShotgun hunters organization i'm not aware of.

1. i think the fear is some moron will be hunting near a school and something dumb will happen. Wayne central is surrounded by fields and woods. I'm not on either side of this one and I agree with phade that numbers show there's not a lot of difference, but i'm thinking the areas with rifles have had them for a long time. Introducing a rifle into an area where they weren't could lead to incidents, or it might not. 2. there was one season in the books for the youth hunt. If i recall it rained all weekend. So lets give it a few more years before we close the books on how successful and/or detrimental the youth hunt was. agree 100%

i agree with all this logic, but part of me thinks if the tree is doing what it's doing leave it alone. Most plants have been around a lot longer than us, so they must know what's best for themselves and be doing something right. I realize pruning and what not is all very important and I'm by no means an expert. Just seems that sometimes we should let them do what they want. idk...

idk i live in northern ontario and there may be some flat land but it's pretty wooded and very populated.

i believe the 3 blade increases likelihood of a vital being hit. I don't believe a 2 blade or fixed would really "wiggle out" any easier than a 3 blade barbed. and i believe once it's in, whether it comes out or not you're in trouble anyhow. this isn't to say that their reasoning doesn't have some merit, i'm just not convinced it's enough to ban them. obviously many other states agree with me.

yeah i have the deck and was hoping to use it. worried about the height. i don't believe you have to fence any aboveground pools in ontario, but just need some sort of gate. i'll look into it.

I had a house we were buying last year fall through and it had an awesome inground. House we ended up with has neither. We had sort of fallen in love with the idea but can't afford an inground. What have some of you paid in the Rochester area for an aboveground not including deck or landscaping? Any shops you recommend?

you know this thread was dead when turkey season started. can we leave it that way until june?
