    I'll add the number of other youth hunters I have seen in the last two years. 0 Youth pheasant season 3

    May first doesn't fall on a weekend all the time, youth season allows kids first crack and they don't have to miss school to participate. It allows two days pressure free and two days to be all about the kids. Don't like it, don't participate.

    My wife passed one that was 9mm once. They showed it off around the hospital. My wife is pretty tough when it comes to that kind of stuff. Had her Galbladder out this Tuesday and was out and about that night with me.

    Here is some info from the Dec on mortality rates and a hunters impact on Turkey numbers. Turkeys are a year to year bird dependent on habitat and nesting grounds. http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/turkeyplan.pdf

    I don't think managing Turkeys is anything like deer, nesting and winter kill are huge with birds. The season structure and what birds you can take show us that. More hens means more jakes and then more flocks to break up and draw in Toms.

    Nate and I had a great weekend of hunting and at the end we didn't get a bird but came close and had a great time. Last night I decided it was time to pass the torch and I gave home my prized 870. I hope it brings him as much game as it brought me. Im converting my A-5 to my new Turkey gun as of tomorrow with a Carlsons Long Beard choke.

    I think it would depend on what game # and who they are playing. That's how it is during the regular season. Ex Montreal would run more than the Islanders. Day of the week matters too, a Tuesday will be less than a Friday or Saturday game.

    How long does it take to cook chops in your crotch pot? Does it take longer to cook them at your age? Do you put a little blue pill in the crotch pot to get it gong? Do the chops taste like underpants when finished? ok that's all for now.

    Bastard flew down and went away from us after putting on a show. He was all alone and gobbled more than any bird I have ever heard with out calling. I'm betting he went looking for his hens.

    I'm up like a champ, I didn't stay up for all of it but I did wake up and check the scores and highlights in the middle of the night lol.

    You know who has money for a big land grab? Big business and foreign entities from countries like Russia and China. I would rather my taxes go to managing lands instead of flights to Florida and golf.

    The red area's are Federal lands, see why it is important out west Chas? Every one has an interest in Federal lands, politicians, public, farmers and of course fossil fuel company's. It is a bad time to be a Sage Grouse.
