  1. I have found its not the subject matter that gets people razzed, it is how it is discussed.
  2. Again, you are hard to understand, I recommend proof reading and correcting punctuation. So no survey has been done to support your claims of all in support in your group? Just asking. What percentage of your current buck take are 1.5's? 2.5's and so on, how does it compare to other regions in and out of the current Ar zones. I don't suppose you have a starting point before you started collecting data in the co-op? One tidbit, I lived in the Town of Northumberland for a few years and all I ever heard was how bad the crooks were in the area and how I better shoot whatever came in blah blah blah. I had a night in the summer once where I Saw a handful of mature bucks that changed everything I had been told. All with in a mile radius of my house (not a part of your co-op). That was when I realized that the evil neighbors cant kill them all, nor can the next guy. It was all perception.
  3. Exactly. And its ok to want to shoot lots of deer, been there done that and I am happy I did because I have so much more experience because of it. I could care less what the neighbor shoots, it doesn't influence how or what I hunt. .
  4. It is in committee, no vote scheduled. It may never leave committee.
  5. dbHunterNY If you are part of a 20,000 acre area that takes part in AR's already why would the state need to step in and make it a law? If it is working how about showing your co-op data proving how AR's improve the health and age structure that is touted. Also provide a hunter satisfaction survey of the co-op members showing how blissfully happy they are. Lead by example, show us all the benefits and results. One more general question to all, if 70+% support AR's, why aren't they taking part now and not killing younger bucks. If they did then the over all 1.5 take should only be 30%.
  6. I popped a Red Dot 2x on my 870 last off season, I like it so far. I wanted it for the close range and long range shots as well as slugs shall I ever want too. I also like the fiber optic ring that clamps on the rib, that opens use up to water fowl or upland should the opportunity present it self.
  7. The final cook down is upon me, I pulled taps yesterday in the middle of another great run. I'll finish with over four gallons setting a new high, every year I expand and increase. Here's to this year and next!
  8. You know you have a set laying around for when you go to the state fair. Or was that your set the guy found in the shed thread?
  9. Don't forget the self tanning cream, teeth whitener and of course the gold chain.
  10. I feel like I HAVE to... Who was the lucky fella?
  11. Still going strong here, I was pleasantly surprised with a good run yesterday. I have reached my 3 gallon goal, the rest is icing on the cake. I did clean out some of my best tree's this weekend hoping to extend it another week, looks like it worked.
  12. Lets see the pedigree's, might help you sell a pup if folks know where the lines came from.
  13. Simply answer to the silly limb analogy, load the fire up with more wood, it burns at the same temp no matter what. I can load my freezer up with a bunch of small deer to equal the amount of meat of a larger one. I may just start targeting Button bucks next year.
  14. You don't have to add the 1/2 all year you know, lol Its almost 1.75 at this point, it was born on a Tuesday at 137pm. West wind.
  15. Hey Burt I'll send you the address to send the AH Fox too, I appreciate your paying it forward. In exchange I will stop trespassing on your land and craping under your tree stands...I promise.
  16. Some of mine have slowed others have not, I collected another 30 gallons in two days this week. Mostly from three trees. This wind and weather we have forecasted stinks though, it will be impossible for me to cook this weekend.
  17. What? I'm not even going to address this drivel. Back to AR's, bring them on state wide!!!! Make them even harder in western NY, make it a width and point restriction. How about a weight restriction too or maybe a age restriction and have a class you need to pass before you can hunt.
  18. I sincerely hope you make more sense when pleading your case to law makers than you do on here because on here you come off kind of incoherent. You're not alone in not making sense in this thread so don't feel too bad. Making it a right would do nothing to change anything in NY by the way. It's basically a feel good law that helps politicians gain support from hunters. I agree with Phade, law makers should butt out of decisions for hunting, which includes more than just deer.
  19. That was Grows first Kindle, the batteries lasted for ever but there was no spell check.
  20. Do you know how Facebook works? Lol I guarantee there are non hunters and anti hunters that are members of that page. That would make those highly touted 18k members not so important wouldn't it.
  21. So you tried to make a point by incorrectly claiming hunting is a right in NY, that doesn't make any sense hombre.
  22. What did you smoke today? I posted the fact that it is a privilege not a right in NY, contrary to what db posted.
