He isn't a dog peeing with his leg up haha. There is another picture that I think is him, big bodied deer but the rack isn't that defined so I wont bother posting because people will question if its him or not.
-
Im thinking he is around 5 judging by his sagging back, stomach, chin and how thick his neck and chest are for September 4

The one I shot like that was on the ground. It was in a wide open field and the deer was dead still looking for me since i had called him in i wouldn't take the shot from a stand either.
-
Shot a nice buck two years ago at less than 15 yards quartering to me. I put it in the crease of his shoulder and chest and he didn't go far at all. If its close like that I don't see a reason why not to take the shot as long as you can place it well and are close.

Dropped my girlfriends bow off to get set up about three weeks ago with no call from them...I called them Wednesday and he goes, "oh yeah, its all set hanging here for ya" okay so when were you going to let me know it was ready?!

I gut and use a deer cart to drag it back to the truck but this makes me really want to try this just for something new! Cool video...good find

Sorry Early...Submerged in water.
-
Anyone who hunts geese know how hard it can be to keep the meet dry and tender. The only way I have found to do this and the only way I like it is super simple! Crockpot on high for 6 hours fully submerged Take it out, pull it apart with two forks or your hands like you would for pulled pork Load it up with your favorite BBQ sauce (mine is Dinosaur BBQ Sensational Slather) and ENJOY!!!! This really is so simple and delicious its not even funny! Try it and your will NOT be disappointed I promise!

I've gotten mine from Natchezes Shooting Supplies before but last time I just ordered them through Hornady.

Where is the best state land for white tail during the regular season in the Adirondacks?!
-
a board with some nails in it laid down in the wheeler ruts will make for a good deterrent and stop them from coming back on your lands!

Hey be happy your hitting the target.....Renegade Hunter usually has a hard time hitting the vitals

Tons of deer down in Brookfield! Big woods too, most of it is pretty thick but the pines are pretty open. The deer get a lot of pressure in some areas. One day with my buddy I almost stepped on a doe before she jumped in the thick stuff then a second later another deer jumped up and I could hear his rack hitting branches as he busted. Big old bucks way back in and if your not afraid to get in there for a couple days you have a good chance at one of them!

haha wow Tommy was right.....his dad really does look like a redneck Santa!

Utica, Westmoreland, Deansboro, Waterville, Brookfield. Whats the question?!

I love swamp hunting! Have my best luck in the thick wet cedars. I have a couple of spots where the ground is solid (dry) and just a little higher I like to sit on. they seem to travel really well through there whether it be running from someone who kicked them out or just wandering through on their way to bed. Good luck and hopefully you can figure out their pattern!

Have and use one and LOVE it! it makes it so much easier and quicker to get a deer out of a field or thick stuff. Last year doing a drive one of the guys I hunt with got a big bodied buck (200+) and with my cart it was only a ten-fifteen minute walk compared to I don't even want to know how long of a drag! its in the bed of my truck alllllll season long!

I usually shoot for the 20 foot mark. It does depend though on how comfortable you are with heights. I was talking to a guy who hunts the same farm as I do and he mentioned to me that he though my stands were crazy high (20 feet) and when I came across his stands I could see why he thought mine were so high, he only goes up about 10 feet (too low in my opinion)
-
sorry just saw your arrow message. still there shouldn't be that much of a difference.
-
Man Joe what kind of bow/arrow combination do you shoot?! I don't know anyone or have ever myself had a bow that shot so much different between 10 and 20 yards that the arrow misses a target completely. I shoot a trophy ridge single pin adjustable on my Mathews Creed. My Dad shoots a Mathews DXT with a single pin which does 0-30 with no compensation.
-
Yeah those are all things I like to bring up. I forgot to mention it was for bow permission but I'll make sure I do next farm I stop at

I Was a supervisor at the hannaford close to the areas I was to hunt so I know a lot of people from the area so odds are I'll know them from there. Also I have friends from around there that may be related. I'll definitely have to check out the tax records!

I'm out driving now looking
-
I spoke to one and he said they own almost everything. He had a small chunk but his kids monitor the hunting. He was super old!

Got the were full. Oh well, I'd rather get denied access than go on land I don't have permission and be "that guy"
