hill farmstead, equilbrium, other half, paradox, and unifed BW all things juicy. in that order. then if i wasn't in trouble with the wife it'd be hill farmstead until she wanted to leave. good selection. if i didn't have a 4 yr old daughter with the wife at home i'd go right now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kLcSxehrqM first video of a series. Gunwerks shoot long range hunting scenarios many times at well over 1k yards and any accuracy loss they'd know. also they sell "shooting systems" and rifles, so they wouldn't tell you how to clean it wrong because they'll get unhappy customers who paid a lot of money for average accuracy. i do basically the same thing. bore guide is machined metal with threaded teflon ends, brushes are synthetic bristle, and cleaning rod is a one piece coated one from Bore-tech. lots of good cleaners out there for different uses. pick the one you're happy with that does the same thing as in the vid.

the typical record/hanson buck was 4.5 yrs old. it's very likely it would've gotten bigger. at least gross score wise. it's very possible it'd grow deductible points and would've no longer been the record. crazy to imagine but true.

i think Phade was getting at lifetime earns from it and no single entity is going to pay for that. Bass Pro, outdoor shows, etc pay to do speeches, seminars, and sometimes just tell the story of how the biggest free range wild whitetail ever taken hit the dirt. It's not uncommon for the most sought after to get several thousand for just showing up. then the same goes for replica mounts that are only produced if someone pays you to have one. not like some creates one to use from a picture. then someone can't use your name to sell a product without your consent and maybe paying you a royalty. After a while that adds up. many of you and your families can't live like a king off $1M alone the rest of your lifetime. it'd just be supplemental income. say you got 35 yrs left of peddling that one time you got lucky and sealed the deal to kill the record. several grand ($6k) per replica or appearance. say you manage to make that happen just 5 times a year. that's over $1M.

out of likes but usually it's the very best bucks and photos that show up in magazines from what Gordan Whittington has said. He gets tons of above average deer that never make it to the mag because there just is only so much space and so many monster bucks coming from all parts of the country to choose from.

i've been back and forth on getting a crossbow or going the other way using a recurve i already have that i haven't given a fair enough shot. i'm so torn just had to laugh at this, as i might well do the same thing without even without the physical issues.

saulk trail that i've mentioned before makes one called the highline. they also have a kenu that's under 60". they all seem to look nice when they post pictures. i was always told it was easier to shoot a recurve more accurately than a longbow. may have something to do with what you said about forgiveness and ability to tune? idk

Arrows and Tightspot quiver
dbHunterNY replied to Chromeslayer's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
smoking deal on a great quiver. i'll give some looking for one a chance as i don't need it. i have plenty of tightspot stuff with extra brackets already. their customer service is awesome too some group that treats you like one of their own. -
i'm sure if you know the right people there's a demand for anything. regs might be different idk. deer get out of a fence at your typical deer farm too. safe the say they didn't just naturally show up there. they came from a farm/zoo at some point. i'm just open to where and trying not to point any fingers and run with assumptions more than necessary. i just know invasive species always seem to end up being bad to have around for some reason or another.

i'd think you'd know. same as a local big or unique buck in the area gets seen by others at some point. it was brought in, released, or escaped somehow. maybe not from a the typical deer farm but maybe a small zoo or something with deer in a fence.

i know just at QDMA banquets we auction off bronze castings of hanson buck. they always do well. to be honest it's a cool thing to display in your trophy room if you've seen one in person. replica mounts seem to do well put up in big chain stores or on traveling displays.

hate and jealousy happen at times when a local hunter here shoots someone elses buck. it's bound to happen. might as well give your family more financial security. if he's of good character and humble it'll be mostly fine.

https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/new-york-environmental-officials-encouraging-hunters-to-kill-exotic-non-native-species-of-deer?fbclid=IwAR0rCI4nHZBr8nscydHRVa5XEuzGFrkf80rJaGlc-otZuf_d0wrulk58gR4 Apparently stuff is getting outside a fence again. Hopefully some dipsh*t didn't just let it loose. Looks like deer season is still open. can't imagine that thing will live too long. I'd think everyone would be after it if you were in that area. never a good idea having an invasive species on the loose. damage they do is always figured out with hind sight and too late to make a difference stop it.
