Rubber bands are more cumbersome to use. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I have one for every box call. Before that I used a large HD rubber band. They're gold. Before the rubber bands I got busted by longbeards moving often. Little odd chirp would get their attention at the wrong time. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

So here is how my morning went...should I change tomorrow?

I'd try again. Call sparingly though. Mornings a crap show at times. 10-noon is when you'll get beards trolling for whatever they can get. Even if you knew the tree they dont always fly down toward you. If you've got a Tom or Jake decoy put it right over an upright hen set on ground using half your spike or a short stick. Also one stubborn hen not moving is more convincing than a bunch stationary. Also a view can hurt you and have birds hang up. Sit in woods off field edge out of sight where you think they go into. Blind call sparingly and dont use decoy so they look for you. Soft call when it sounds like they're close if you do. If you have to setup in field use hedge row or knolls so they come in blind until within range. Then by the time they assess they're screwed you get a shot. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk -

i pull out the model 500 20ga only when i'm trying to be nostalgic. i was young, my standards were low, and she was cheap. My first was a Winchester 1897 but my first that i knew would never get passed around was the Mossberg! ahaha

sounds like a good fix. i messed around with shims trying to drop the comb and lengthen pull on my benelli because it didn't fit well and i shot high. i tinkered a while and still don't think it's quite right.

Wife made venison Shepard's Pie. Such a seemly lack luster dish at first thought but loaded with flavor. desert was all locally sourced; salted caramel icecream, over a warm apple cider donut, and smothered with muddled strawberry topping. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Also last night I had a couple pints from Old Nation Boss Tweed. No pictures though. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Didnt take a picture but the wife is drinking Hudson Valley Eveningland blackberry sour. I've got a good run going since Covid has me working from home and flexible for beer runs. Did still miss alchemist and treehouse opportunities though. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Likely can if you do what I said and fold tears back. I admit from the picture it's difficult to tell. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Sodfather should chime in. More info needed though? Assuming he's shooting the X (5mm) diameter Fmj for nock and insert weight, no wraps, and standard 3 blazer vanes. That setup is under spined. Perfect spine is 0.324 or .300 spine shaft. If he lower poundage to 65lbs he'd be good. Used calculator from Victory arrows. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I dont remember how limb driven rests are but cable driven arrow rests should come up usually in the very last inch or so of draw so it drops sooner for clearance but makes sure its fully "cocked". It's easy to tell tear with bare shafts. Carefully fold tears back flat with sheet of paper. Where the point went in will make a clean uniform asterisk looking hole the other end will be often a square like tear. Need to make sure your timed perfect. Draw device like you have should help. Also start nock level with arrow shaft height through bottom 1/3 of berger button/rest mounting bolt hole. Sideways tear do weird things. I get that close first and then do up/down. If high nock tear move rest up ao arrow closer toward top of hole. That way you're not moving nock too far above level which will effect how solid the bow holds. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
