  1. plain textured vent bag sealer here. used a commercial chamber vac sealer and it was amazing. did 6 packages at once and fast.
  2. deer seem to be pretty close to 40% for me sometimes a little more and sometimes less. doesn't matter if it's a mature doe, a young doe, or a buck. decent 3.5+ yr old bucks seem to be over 40%. middle aged to mature doe seem to be right at 40% or a touch more. young doe and really old 8.5+ yr old doe seem to be a touch less than 40%. i don't really take fawns but whenever i've processed one for whatever reason it's always seems like a lot less but the same amount of work. i've never figured percentage but know they always seem to be less than 90 lbs for BB and 60 lbs for doe fawns when i look at deer checked in for the surrounding area. we get fewer tags over the counter out this way so i'm not shooting a fawn to test it out. i wonder if yield is normally that high for them.
  3. that doe is no good. looks like it didn't grow out the small flatiron steaks on the front shoulder?
  4. standing corn this late is a deer magnet. even those that are notoriously late to harvest having been chopping or picking already. a lot of bucks on the farm or the surrounding area died this year. not much left here. good luck going after him despite it's not daylight he's around for a reason and won't go far.
  5. Just passed another yearling buck. Still cod as hell. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  6. Wonder if any deer will show? (Edit: for smart phone picture flipping)
  7. Some others have it but smooth action with short throw bolt is fast. Once you get the hang of releasing the lugs and lifting the bolt you shoot pretty quick if a follow up is needed. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. too much. i'm going with closer to 131".
  9. that's fine but if she asked for a carpet shampoo'er and knife set i'd worry.
  10. get something like a cheaper JA Henkels set that you can beat the hell of out and not cry. my wife and others are brutal on the kitchen knives. .... or you can go with a Miyabi birch wood handle set with half dozen pieces for well over 1K lol
  11. i'm guestimating. biz might be cheating or overloading his noggin with one of those photo tracing scoring apps. lol
  12. mentor Matt H's rifle in 308. kind of heavy but good for little recoil. lol
  13. well outside my wheel house and hard without a persons digits in the photo. lol brows 6 (longer branch), 5.5 g2 11.5, 9 g3s 10" g4s 5, 6.5 g5 3" beams 26" beams spread 24.5 mass 7, 5, 5, 4 173 4/8" typical frame
  14. 10" G2s 9" G3s 1" G4 22" beams 17" spread 5" total brows mass 5, 5, 4, 3 shit wasn't done yet
  15. We're now at 5 of 9 new hunters successfully taking their first deer. Hopefully more to follow after Thanksgiving weekend.
  16. Also on Monday Dieuseul "Deuce" took his first deer at a vary respectable range too, despite I can't remember the number.
  17. had the 2nd processing demo as well as added a field dressing demo with one of the mentees deer. this happened on Monday.
  18. i figured higher spread, couple tines shorter, brows the same but 2.5 inch sticker, mass 4-3-3-3, beams a little longer.
  19. not a big stout guy. i guess i was thinking of ipas and how some lose the favor of the hops sooner for boozy finish if higher abv. idk either way it's good and that's all the matters.
  20. i'm horrible with score. i'm in the 110 to maybe 120 gross group. lol
