  1. I'd shoot what I felt to be a mature (4.5 yo or better) 6pt every time over an immature 2.5 10 point. It seems to be hard for some of those who measure the worth of a buck and/or the success of the hunt by number of points to accept there are those who just don't care about arbitrary numbers. Why is that?
  2. Neither the BB or the 1.5 are mature. Shooting either (which I don't care if you do) kills an immature buck.
  3. Arrows sound overspined for that bow.
  4. Why would it suck shooting an older mature buck?
  5. Experienced hunters know that.
  6. How about legal hunter. Unless of course he is hunting humans - then murderer would be correct.
  7. The term murder is most often applied human to human. Belo did not mention brutal or inhumane - he said a neighbor shoots 2 or 3 bucks a year. Anyone that equates legally hunting and shooting deer legally as murder and the hunter as a murderer is an anti.
  8. Someone shooting 2 or 3 or 10 deer a year is not a murderer. Someone killing another human would be. An experienced - or even novice - hunter would know that.
  9. Which is what exactly?
  10. Bill will be introduced again next year. The minority NYB's will fight it. Hopefully the legislature will listen to what the majority want.
  11. You last two convinced me - nothing sounds like more fun
  12. It's been a long time since having a "good time" with the real consequence of feeling like crap the next day had any attraction at all to me. Absolutely don't care what others others do, but when their drug of choice starts noticeably changing their personality and actions, I'm out of there. I will have had every bit as much of a good time and know how I will feel the next day. I never quit drinking - just don't hardly ever do it any more.
  13. Adjust your site and you are good to go. Keep your first few kills close.
  14. Fairly easy to get a permit to modify a bow like with a drawloc. Almost impossible to get the one allowing crossbow
  15. Not in NY unless disabled to the point of having to use a breathing tube to trigger it,
  16. Upon researching further,I was wrong about the legality. I was remembering a conversation with a DEC officer some years back. I'm with Doc - where does it end? How many devices, apps, aids do we need to make it easier to kill an animal? And is the intro of another really "front page news"?
  17. How could we hunt without it? Another nice ad/plug.
  18. If you can communicate deer position to others (I haven't looked at it - most likely won't) it is illegal in NY.
  19. Enough people for 2 states - be alright with me.
  20. No - you are out of line - way so.
