I've heard gunshots everyday this week in the woods. I managed to survive. Way more small game, turkey and waterfowl hunters out there then there will be kids this weekend. If worried, do some orange or stay home.

If you shoot does, you will shoot one with fawns whether you see them or not. Very few does are true dry unless they lost them to cars, predators etc. They are fine by now - they hook up with another group. So yes, I do.

Can't help this time of year. I know several groups who have tried doing classes in the spring and summer. Those in need can't be bothered then and attendance is low at best.

7:45 this morning had a single shotgun blast go off less then 200 yds away in the bordering state land. Nerve of that turkey hunter shooting in my season and scaring my deer. -
Honestly if I ever shot a deer like that, I would give less then 2 hoots about it being some ones record or the manner or "rules" some organization had for measuring it.

Intentional, blatant untruth. Wide range of opinions and styles on this site. Most are able to discuss and debate - sometimes heatedly - without the personal attacks. And less then a handful have had to have been escorted out and that was their own choice. Good luck to all.

A good string like Winner's Choice will have no stretch - especially after a being shot in. The peep will tern to the same spot each time and no tube is needed to pull it around. Takes some a couple adjustments to get it right and pretty much need a bow press, but once done is great.

I have a couple like that. Both have a couple different approaches. I try to use the one where I am walking most into the wind that day. Try to not tough anything on the way in and leave as little scent as possible. Get set up as quickly, but quietly as possible. Both are consistent providers, but can easily be over hunted. Usually will do back to back (ei night and next morning) and then stay out a few days.

For sure - after all adjustments are made. Also a quality string goes a long way to ending rotation and the need for tubing. Check it all again after at least 50 shots to be sure nothing has changed.

You are right. When the 1st post in a thread is simply an insulting attack, probably not going to be a meaningful productive thread. It was the sole purpose of him starting this thread. I'm guilty of giving him the very thing he sought.

So you see plenty of 2.5 baskets. Guess what - they where 1.5's and AR does nothing to protect scrappy baskets. A 6pt 1.5 is no different then a 1.5 spike. You want the biggest and think everyone else should be forced to cater to you to get it. The only thing that will put large numbers of real mature deer - 4.5 and older - in NY like Illinois is doing what they do - limited access and low pressure. AR is not even a tiny step toward this.

Clueless troll as to what peoples opinions really are. Showed it when you started your rant yesterday claiming AR could make our hunting just like Illinois where THEY DON"T HAVE AR. As foolish as this was, it only gets worse. And now conveniently has a new buddy jetmec being even more insulting. Way to win support for your side.
