Still have friends that will not open an email from me.

I got a better one if anyone wants it - pictures of my colonoscopy.

I like the "take it and leave a number" the best. Should they call you will know who you are dealing with. DEC report would go well with this for future reference.

The Expanded Antler Restrictions - Who is excited?

For example - going from 5 to 13 is a 260% increase. Going from 1 to 3 is 300%. Just saying. -
How can we come together if you won't say what guns need to be banned?
-
What type of guns do you want tighter control of and why?
-
Yes - there liberties where infringed on. They where not allowed a choice to be able to possibly defend themselves form a crazy.

I have asked this same question numerous times here and other places. Most times it is simply ignored. Occasional will get an attempt at an excuse, but never a solid reason. Amazing that only 30% of the hunters can kill all the 1.5 bucks each and every year!

Questions on their population balance figures, but their buck kill aging is accurate?

Yep - a few more 2 and 3 year old bucks to kill before they mature.

The Expanded Antler Restrictions - Who is excited?

Trends possibly IF they where doing the same protocol for at least ten years. But to lists %'s to the .01 and claim they are accurate is a tough one to swallow. Most bucks killed are never aged and entered into their equation. It is entirely possible and probable the ratio for those not included (the vast majority) to be far different from the very small sampling most likely being used. -

And what % of the bucks killed are being checked? -

From where and how are the harvest numbers and age %'s being calculated. I doubt that anymore then a small % of bucks are ever accurately aged. -
Elbow position in your bow arm.

Albany for me.

How many are needed? http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/96-antler-restrictions-what-are-your-thoughts/

As for the original question, yes I would continue for does only. But I would have no problem taking the bb's I currently pass since there would need to be some control over the bucks.
-
I don't shoot little bucks, but without being able to take some does, I would be done in NY.
-
Great potential for when they mature.
-
Hypothetical at best!

John - I see where they can make a guess that way. I know a couple processors around here, and while the DEC does do checks, they spend little time with the aging. Joe - that's what I wonder too. I am amazed at the number of hunters I know around me that feel that a 6pt or better has to be an older deer. In spite of the study a few years back showing that nearly 60% of our 1.5's are 6pt or better.

Not trying to argue but want to understand how the following could be even remotely accurate if the 45% reporting rate is true (which I feel may be low)? Especially given they take it to the .00 %. I report everything and have never been asked age - which without jawbone aging is only a guess.

And to take it on step further, many claim the majority of NY hunters want it - heard claims as high as 2/3. Question is, if that many are in favor and believe in it, why does it need to be mandatory? Seems like that 2/3 would be making a huge difference by being selective in their buck harvest. Not to mention there are a lot who don't support mandatory AR but are selective in the the buck they shoot now. If all these claims are true, then who is it shooting all the 1.5's?
