Four Season Whitetail's

This statement is wrong in many ways. Ny state high fence hunts are 130 to 150 inch bucks for average hunters. People are sick of not seeing any good deer and they have been to the high dollar outfitters that charge them 3 grand plus for a chance at a good buck and then that buck had better meet their 130 min inches before you can kill it. People go to a nice ranch,spend the same money and come home with a great animal. As far as purity goes the people that hate hunting hate all hunting regardless of where it takes place. I could never figure how it is anybody else's business how or where another person spends their time. The disease card is far from being proven. When they ban deer urine because they THINK it spreads CWD when in fact they cant even find the prion in the urine of a proven positive whitetail. But they have found the prion in Alfalfa and corn yet they still harvest those crops and put those crops out into the animal industry for all animals to eat. Even in proven hot zones of CWD positive grounds of Wisconsin! Yeah like that wont spread CWD around the country!!!

I can show you many that are far from canned. That word is a joke and used by the people that just dont like it so they try and make it sound unsporting. Who cares what a person says about their hunts? How many people do you think lie and stretch all kinds of truths when it comes to taking whitetails?

There are very few that dont and every state that does sells out of animals every year. This place in Ohio where CWD was found sold over 100 hunts in the month of September alone. This place buys a million dollars worth of animals a year. All these recent cases came out of a Pa farm where CWD was found in the wild herd in that area before it was found on a farm. The smart person knows that demand runs a business and without it one would not be around long. With the way EHD is taking out the whitetails in the southern states and the DEC<DNR taking out the whitetails because of piss poor management you will see this grow leaps and bounds. These are now considered livestock and farmers are being paid for their deer that get EHD and now if a state wants to take out a herd because of CWD it costs them millions. CWD has proven itself in the last 50 years to do nothing to any herds in any state. Its all political by groups like QDMA because its the future, Like it or Not. I do not sell hunts. Mostly breeder quality animals..7 acres out of 749 under fence. The rest is managed to be some of the better hunting in Jefferson County!

Well Paula the biggest problem is that the few clowns that run their mouths about deer farming and high fence hunting have no clue about CWD. They dont have the knowledge or do the research to know that the same CWD prion has been found in Alfalfa hay and in corn that any person can buy and feed their animals regardless if they are deer or not and spread the prion into that soil to anywhere in the country. They also cant explain how it can be that the state of Illinois has over 500 cases of CWD in the wild yet there has never been a case behind fence. Nor can they explain how there is CWD case in a pile of states that have never had a deer farm in them. Bottom line is that CWD does not have any effect on the deer herds and even in the red zone in Wisconsin where CWD has been arond for over 13 years guys now have to kill more deer off their property because of over population. Yup CWD is a bad dude..So bad that they cut the fences twice at Wind Cave national forest and let herds of Elk run free for hunters to harvest and that herd has an 80% positive CWD number in that herd..Yup they are really worried about it. The haters just hate because they are not invovled in the success. Every Ny farm is sold out of antlered bucks for this year and the good high fence ranches are turning hunters away because they dont have enough animals to hunt. Well they will be hating for many years to come because high fence hunting is growing leaps and bounds every year and there are many New Yorkers finding out that they can make 20 to 80 grand a year easy and are fencing in waste land that cant be used to raise any other animals!. If you do some research on that farm you will see why it is so good. Just keep thing..Vaginal Secretions! But try to keep it clean! lol

I know there are none on my properties and a few other guys i know that have large chunks of land. Sure does set ya back if you let someone else tell you how to enjoy your time in the field and life for that matter. Those days are long gone!

That man also has whitetails behind fence and every person that does has a whole new knowledge of that animal than a few hunters that sit in the woods a few weeks out of the years. When someone that has deer say they could write a book on whitetails, many should listen. I know i have in 15 plus year and Charlie has even taken it a step further. Kudos to him.

Now sure is the time to start using good scents but make sure you get it from a farm that gets vaginal secretion when collecting scent. None of that and you dont get the pheromones and without them a mature buck knows that doe is not ready to breed. You will still get younger bucks to go ape $hit but the mature bucks need the real stuff to respond.

Nah, No Worries. We will not put to much hurt on them until you guys show up. I must say that the C cabin area will be much quieter now that this gang has the new camp outside the Castile entrance. Man its nice to have the best of home now at our fingertips and some of the best hunting in Ny state 3 miles up the road! We made a very large hanging pole!!!!

Yeah Really! I find it very hard to believe that some have it down to the minute and then climb down. To many things can be going on at the same time at that time of evening during a good sit. Even if you shot a minute before legal time and the econ wanted to be an a&&clown, he would say it was a minute after and a ticket you would get. These times i believe could be revamped.

I cant tell any secrets yet from last weekends trip. Headed back to camp Wednesday night for the long weekend. Will be spending lots of time on that road the next 30 days!.

If he had a few inches of tine length added on he would have been in trouble. Like the width but need the length. He should jump a grade or two next year but he also may be much harder to find as he matures!

Sounds like everything else in this world. Prices go up on equipment and hunters pay the price. I believe you will continue to have great success on leases from guys that see the big picture and want to continue to have great hunting in the future. Those that dont read the signs and do what they need to do to protect their future will be in a bad way im afraid. Farmers are even getting pinched to the point that they will have to charge to hunt, I know many in my circle already do just that. With no lack of willing payers i may add.

That nice. We have states willing to move walls to try and stop a disease that may kill a deer or two and a country that will do nothing to protect its people. Yup, that sounds about right in this so screwed up world.

Yup just another reason to carry on and do what you will and what you think best as a grown adult. There are so many grey areas in life anymore and so many people that really dont know squat think they have the smarts to tell you how to live your life. Yeah whatever you say...Read the post. I stand up for a persons choice on where and how a person hunts just as this case played out. Just because i showed a different look at what could have been the case, compared to Grow;s means nothing. To some of us thats what we call..Hunting.. To find a mature buck and defeat him on his turf by fair means can be the biggest,purist means to the word..Hunting.. To sit in an area that has many deer per acre and kill any deer that walks by does not constitute hunting for some .Harvesting,shooting,killing are some words that comes to mind when that plays out. Aren't we all lucky that we can say the same sport means much more to each other?

Is this written as a political shot at one side towards the other? Cant say i believe everything i read. Also cant say that this might all be true when he is voted back in but i believe this is being used as a vote ploy by one side.

I used to have the same issues. Stopped that dead by going to see the banker. You think its hard now, just wait a few more years. Buy land, run and manage it your way and dont worry about outside influence. I believe its going to be rough in the future and money will have a huge say as to when,where and if most have a place to hunt.

Agreed! I only shoot Stingers cut on contact and pass through about every time. Rather have 2 good holes top and bottom then just one big hole on top. I also climb high!
