Good luck,I have done the same with my nephew since gun season and I can tell my season has suffered but overall the pride I had when he connected with his first deer was worth it !!!

I love my Rem 700,7600 and my 870.Im not really sure if I would spend good money on a new Remington gun with all the problems they have been having lately though -
Have no clue what to get him,I already bought him a good knife for his birthday.He has all the clothes and boots he needs.I was thinking a scope but I am limiting myself to 50 dollars and I wont buy him a junk scope.Give me a few suggestions if you would please!!

I have yet to here about a population of pigs in Cicero swamp. Three rivers has quite a bit of nice property but gets the crap hunted out of it come gun season.Go to the NY state lands mapper and take a look around on there.Problem with 7A,7F and 8F is the amount of people and the lack of state land.Everyone flocks to the state property come gun and its like a free for all.

Out on some state land this am in 8f trying to fill a DMP,all of a sudden I hear fireworks at 715,then I hear them moving closer and closer and they stop after a few minutes.A half hour after that I hear them farther down the road,these DB's are trying to push deer with fireworks!!!Stupid bastards,caped the DEC and let them know,they said they have heard about it and will monitor the area.
