  1. My friend loves his and hasnt said anything to me about it.In fact it will probably be my next rifle
  2. I hunt alot of state land and have never had a issue,I also make sure I were as much orange as I can though.I am a stand hunter though so I am not moving around. If you cover yourself in orange i think it would be fine, wouldn't stop me.
  3. Well I am going to go to the PA sportshow and shoot any that I can get my hands on.The only one that wont be there is the vertical inline crossbow but right after the show I will order that because they have a 5 day return policy.Anyone want to get together for a shoot off at my local game club mid February for that?
  4. I'd throw anxious in there also!! Heck its bow season,I have a week of starting in 6 hours and I am getting amped up for rifle!!LOL
  5. I think field archer did a review on one last year, ive heard for the money they are good bows but that it just heard
  6. I had one a while back and it wore through my serving pretty quick.Never again!!!!
  7. I wouldn't say no to loins on the grill.Baste with butter a time or two while cooking.Awesome!!! and yes cook to medium rare-medium at most or you will have a old boot on your hand!!
  8. I usually use them into the first few days of shotgun but then I put them away because I think so many people throw out every trick in the book so to speak opening weekend and then deer may get spooked after smelling a hot mama then human scent a few times in a weekend. But I will tell you that scent works again in the second rut. Some think its a myth nut it does work. Its about a month after the initial rut and I will use my scent again for a week or so.
  9. I really don't see the deal hear.Leave the other hunters alone.Trapping a bear is the same as trapping any other animal. Why because its a bear is it different.I will tell you as other will also that hunting baited bear isn't a guarantee .If you think it is you are sorely mistaken. The bear are just as tough to kill.Really its no different than waiting for a deer by a apple, white oak, pear or beech tree, its also no different than planting a late season food plot for deer hunting thats full of oats or sugar beets to lure them in to kill them.
  10. Do it now, another 2 weeks and they wont do much!!!!
  11. I know from talking with a DEC officer 2 years ago they allow people to run bear with dogs for training to go and hunt them in other states. While hunting we found a old bait barrel and called it into the DEC,when they got there they said it was a registered bait site for a houndsman to "train" his dogs on bear for out of state hunting
  12. Great!! Time to plan my trip for 2015!
  13. My weeks vacation that week!!!!!
  14. Its not just the hunters, its the recreational shooters also that should be in that mix but so many of our ranks don't see the SAFEACT as a bad thing. They will when the next step hits, then the step after that and the step after that.Domino effect!!!
  15. oh he has a plan I am sure,I just wished it would involve a train and a set of tracks!!
  16. Bear looking for bugs in a dead tree
  17. Spring or fall turkey?I know fall is a whole different ball of yarn
  18. CamX looks pretty decent also!!
  19. That would be hard for me because every deer makes my heart thump!!!
  20. not before before a hunt but I would love to look back on a season once its over and see how close I was, maybe deer that saw/smelt/sensed me and never came in and what not.
