  1. You can still bow hunt. Just put your regular season tag on any buck you take and DMP on any doe. Good luck and have fun
  2. I don't know what he shot it with, but I'd sure want my .45-70 when tracking it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  3. Same here. As long as they're recovering. I'll even lend them a hand if they need it. Get caught hunting on my land, however, and you get to meet the nice man in the green outfit with a gunSent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  4. I'm in 7h this morning. Heari lots of shots. Even a few 5 shot volleys. Haven't seen a thing except squirrels and the neighbor that my mother in law lets cross her property to get to his stand on atv at 645am Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  5. I went to get groceries today and the line at the license counter was out the door. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  6. I never said they'd leave, much less go 100 miles. What I said was that it would affect their movements overnight tonight and into the morning. They'll be hunkered down in the thick shit and not on the plots like they normally are. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  7. You can't tell me that firing 30 rounds tonight won't affect deer movement overnight. I literally watched them run out of my field when the shooting started. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  8. I wouldn't hunt with any round you haven't sighted in with. I've never used the HDs, but then again, I've never been able to shoot Brennekes at all. Just never grouped well out of anything I owned.
  9. Just looked outside because he's still shooting, he's got his car headlights shining on the target. SMH
  10. Good thing I'm not hunting here tomorrow. Going to go up to my mother in law's, then back here for the afternoon. I don't know if it was the shooting that bothered me more or that he was too lazy to type "trying to" instead of "tryna"
  11. Well, actually, I have two, but they're related. It's 5pm, the night before opening day and my neighbor decides now is a great time to sight in. I shoot him a text "Dude, WTF are you doing? You should have done that before now!" He texts me back "Just bought a new shotty and tryna sight it in quick"
  12. I sighted in before bow season. Fired a single round from shotgun and rifle yesterday morning just to confirm. Next time tge hammer falls, so will bambi Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  13. I always thought take some summer sausage from last year's deer. And coffee Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  14. This picture was taken 3/5/13 from my kitchen window. There are 15 deer. At the same time, less than 500 yards away in my neighbors field, there was another 30-40. Needless to say, we're both getting every doe we can. Wife and I have 8 DMPs, plus ML tags and reg tags we're saving til ML season for does. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  15. I'll take any deer that I have a tag for at any time during the season. Buck or doe, doesn't matte to me, as long as I get some meat in the freezer.
  16. I'm not quite that far but same idea. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  17. Close. It's just an Amish shed that I put windows in and run electricity to. Nothing fancy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  18. I'll sleep in my built blind Friday night. It's got all the comforts of home...cot, coffee maker, fold down shooting windows, electric heater. I won't want to chance busting them out on my way in. I'll go up after dinner Friday and settle in for the night.
  19. S&W 629 .44 Mag. 8.5" bbl How come? The better question is: Why not? It's great for finishing shots, or as a primary. It's killed almost as many deer as my shotgun and rifle combined.
  20. My brother in law and I have a running bet; first on to put a tag on drinks free that night. This bet usually only lasts opening day as our work schedules are so hectic, however this year, we're both off all of the first week. Could get interesting.
  21. .270 is my minimum for deer. I much prefer my 20g slug gun, .30-06, .50 ML and .44 Magnum.
  22. If you hit it in the vitals, the deer doesn't know what caliber the bullet was. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  23. I'm watching a nice 6 and a doe in my field right now. He's obviously interested but she's not. They're both laying down about 30 feet apart just staring at each other. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah. It goes away once you have 100 posts. Nice buck. Good luck getting him Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
  25. I hunt 7J, Bear Swamp and Summerhill State Forests during the week in regular season and ML season. It's not hard to hunt, it's just crowded during regular season Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
