Sparky did you even read what I wrote or why? The guy didn't understand the reason for bells, so I was very relaxed when I wrote why. So if your that thin skinned that you took as if I was upset than that's on you. Now when guys bird hunt they relax and enjoy the time in the field with others, its one of the few hunts one can talk. This reminds me of the people who go to a Bar and get pissed they smell smoke or hear foul language LOL

As camo and bow's are tools use for deer, Bells are used for Dogs & Bird Hunters. Bells can be for a couple reasons, my reasons: Location of dog, dog on point Bell Stops, Different Bell tones can be heard at different distance's and on windy days, Some carry better than others. Beeper Collars are the Same Idea. My dog hunts Hard and ranges out a bit, I use a Bell & GPS on him. If I can't hear the Bell the GPS lets me Know if he is on Point by a tone. You know Guys that hunt should respect each other and the area where they hunt, and stick together. We know season's over Lap so be Mindful of that when you head out. With that being Said, do your HOMEWORK on the area your hunting. If I Bow Hunt a Pheasant release site I expect to Hear Dog Bells and See other people enjoying the hunt JMO.

Many seasons over lap and we all need to prepare for it. If your scouting/hunting in an area where Pheasants are released and plan on bow hunting do your homework. I bow hunt and Pheasant hunt both. If your on State land with a release program your going to see bird hunters. Now when I bird hunt those areas I head out later on the weekends to give bow hunters there time.

It depends on a couple factors, wind, setup, Spot, time of year. If I'm hunting close to a bedding area I like to get in very early a sit tight. Feeding areas I'll sit until 10:30-11am than sit again a couple hours before before dusk. All depends I've wait some bucks out Dark to Dark.

I good comfortable seat cushion, that don't make noise. I invested in a good one years back and it helps for the long watch. I good pair of gloves and a Hotshot finger saver, a fleece camo baklava. A good pair of Boots & wool socks. NO cotton at all it gets wet and stays cold and wet. Never skimp on warmth or comfort you'll pay for it if you do.

I had some 30/30 Remington Cor-lokts Misfire,with this years ammo. I'm not a Remington Ammo fan, missed a big buck years back same thing but Remington 12ga slugs. If I was you sight in the 270 with another brand. JMO

The commercial's seem longer than the show. I watch little TV but The Yankees and the Walking Dead are 2 shows I like. Sometime the Yank's seem to be dyeing LOL

I started out iron sights on my shotgun and killed a lot that way. I started hunting with a hasting rifle barrel but just did not like a scope on it, went red dot. Now on my Rifles all are toped with scopes.

My Biggest was 210lbs the drag was tough. A 400 plus is a pack out or 3 man drag LOL. I lot of meat on this thread, can't wait until opening day. I was wondering if anyone kills a big boy this year post it here lets see them Fat boys.
