  1. Don't worry, all the savings big oil will get from running 100s of thousands of mile of pipe across America will be passed right on to you. hee, hee......
  2. isn't that completely against the conservative ideology about having no restrictions and developing anything and everything for the good of business and the creation of these great jobs. You know the pinko tree hugging hippies who wanna save the trees, save the frogs, save the world and all that nonsense. Ahh but there is still hope, maybe big business will use "Imminent Domain" to get that land back and throw a few Walmarts and maybe a few hundred miles of gas pipeline up on it, or maybe even mine it for the stuff our cell phone batteries need. This John Rybinski is no doubt an un American Commie pinko in my Bible!
  3. Im getting out, its been too cold, now everything is mush, and my tractor keeps getting stuck!!
  4. isn't something how they all come out after hunting season and you start seeing them everywhere again.
  5. Yea and the price looks very reasonable. I like the handle, looks good for easy transport...
  6. Hey Guys thanks for the recommendations, I do have to ask about the tiny size of these speakers and what type of sound can you really get out of them? I will be totally honest with you guys and the last home stereo I owned crapped out over ten years ago. The speakers were probably 14inch diameter with tweeters that were about 3inchs in boxes that measured at least 30 inch's? Can I get the same sound out of something that's only 6 by 2 inch's like these Bose units, Has technology come that far?
  7. Hey guys, I'm looking for a semi portable device, either speakers or receiver for listening to music outdoors via Bluetooth from my I-phone. What is out there. I need something that I can crank up and have several people listen to on my outdoor deck and then take back in at night. I see a lot of these speakers on Amazon but they are tiny little handheld like speakers? I do realize speaker quality has come a long way and I don't need 80s style 30in high speakers and a 40watt per channel receiver but what do I need?????
  8. Im getting out, I think I just saw a drone fly over my house!
  9. just keep it cocked and loaded and tucked into your skivvies, but be carefull when you reach down to scratch yourself at night....
  10. Being that theres about 1 million acres of state land in this state maybe you could let us know where?
  11. Put a wig on him and send him to prison, the boys will "luv em"....
  12. I'm pretty sure a good percentage of the so called mass exodus are retirees who's numbers are on the rise as baby boomers retire in ever increasing numbers, you cant blame them for wanting to stretch a fixed income buck. Most middleclass family types who are employed with decent jobs in NY aren't going nowhere. I give credit to folks like Doc who can retire and still live in NY, theres a lot to be said for that, careful financial planning Im sure has a lot to do with it. Im hoping I can stay in NY after retirement myself because I really couldn't see living in the south that's been overrun by immigrants and other undesirables, not to mention oppressive heat for way too many months out of the year. Maybe a part time residence down south but never full time, my roots are in NY and Im not going to be drivin out by a schmuck like Cuomo.
  13. Man Im glad I moved upstate ten years ago, Way too much snow on Long Island!
  14. Its funny how people talk about how bad things are here in NY, I really have to question that thinking. I have lived on Long Island most of my life and have lived here in the Hudson Valley for the last 10 years or so, and in all honesty things are looking pretty good in this state and a hellovalot better than many other states that business has dragged me to recently? On Long Island the neighborhoods and towns in Nassau and Suffolk counties are looking real good and home values are still thru the roof. Up here in Orange county I'm surrounded by beautiful farms and large classy homes with more than one brand new SUV parked in just about every driveway? When I travel north thru Ulster up into Greene and Delaware counties things are still looking pretty affluent. With the exception of places like Poughkeepsie, Newburgh and Middletown and other obvious dumps which I'm pretty sure most of the people on this forum don't live in I really have to wonder what everyone here is really talking about. I don't look at the world thru rose colored glasses by any means but gotta wonder what kind of glasses a lot of people are looking thru? And business, I have to believe from what I hear that most of you don't run businesses either. The small companies around here in Orange county are doing well. Even in the building trade contractors are still swamped with work, corporate and family eating establishments are packed and the malls and movie theaters still swarmed with people? If you own a small business in NY go south and see how you do, you might be in for a big costly surprise.
  15. I think any confiscation attempt by the state would end up disastrous and possibly deadly in many cases. Cuomo was riding the Newtown wave when he bleated those words.
  16. NY has become a state for the very rich and the people who can make good money providing services to them. Manufacturing is quickly dying here and will do the same in the rest of America with the new trade agreement those idiots in Washington are pushing thru...
  17. I've always had a fascination with air rifles, I used to own a Wieroucht(check spelling) and also had an RWS that was every bit as powerful as a 22LR....Every s often I look at these air rifles they have today and think I might be getting back into them soon. Pre charged cylinders, 25cal and larger, and I even saw a guy kill a Javalina with one recently...
  18. So I guess Cuomo is wrong, NY'ers are not progressive liberal minded people? You guys look at this stuff the wrong way every time? Everything he said is absolute fact. Yea saying they should leave may have been a repugnant statement to right wing conservative types. Fact is it will make the people who hate him continue to hate him and the people who support him will continue to do so. And I keep hearing that he panders to welfare types, yes to a degree but there are many well to do NY'rs that support him and his policies too with not only their vote but lots of money too, remember NY is the richest state in the country.
  19. Wrong, more people in the city and more money also. About 19 million people in this state, well over 10 million in the city, 4 mil in good ole Brooklyn alone. That's not counting Long Island and lower NY that overwhelmingly vote Dem.....Did you ever think that if the right wing hasn't become so extreme and drop some of their OLD ideas that we might actually have more of a chance as sportsman and gun owners in NY. People in NY don't like rightwing conservative values and ideals. NY'ers are open minded people and have dropped most conservative Republican ideas decades ago. We are being dragged down.
  20. Im with this person, and really have no love for for the extreme right wing ideologues or the extreme left wing nutz, Both want everything to do with your lives.
  21. How do these extreme left and right wingnuts in this country get so much freakin air time, maybe the freedom of speech thing is failing because I really wouldn't care if someone shut these idiots up.
