I hope 7 is your lucky number!

Did you ever salt your watermelon? Tasty flavoring salt and sweet…

Bow: Mathews Halon 6 that I got earlier this year. Still using up the NAP Thunderheads that my friend gave me a few years ago. I did get new Gold Tip arrows. I have my Drenalin also as a back up, and a Bob Lee Recurve that I may take for a walk or sit and hope for a perfect 20 yard shot. Gun: Savage 220 with Hornsby SST. I have 3 or 4 Rem Accutips still, but have not seen any of those on the shelf for lost 3 years. ML: Hawken Renegade .54 with 100 grains and patch and ball.

Well Pleasant Valley Inn was interesting. Great food, I will say that, but service was real spotty. We were seated at our reservation time in a back room by ourselves while the rest of the rooms had a few open tables. Never saw anyone again for 20 minutes. Finally I went up to the bar and asked for someone to come take our order. They forgot about us. Waited another 10 minutes for a server. Ordered drinks. Ten more minutes. I know this pandemic is causing all sorts of issues, but this was just a complete breakdown. All kinds of apologies and promises throughout the evening, but two and a half hours for dinner for two, even in a fine dining restaurant, is way too long. And with the first 40 minutes with nothing but menus in our hands. Not a good start. The food however, was terrific. Lobster bisque, mussels, veal chop and filet and crab cakes. All excellent and perfectly prepared. Desserts were homemade and great too. When we were leaving we saw the owners of our B&B at the bar. They told us 3 people called in, including the sous chef, and described the kitchen scene as a shitshow. Yep, I would well imagine. All said, I would go back with tempered expectations re service.

The 60/40 Enigma is excellent! Bought a few for home.

We went to the Park Inn last night. Ended up eating at the bar because they were full. Great drinks and an excellent meal too. My wife had Chicken and Waffles and she could not stop raving about it. I had seared scallops and shrimp with garlic scape risotto, dam good. The Executive Chef is Dan Eaton who long ago was the Celebrity Chef on Time Warner TV and he would show you how to make simple at home dishes. I think Wegmans sponsored it. He was in back running the show. Heading to the Corning Museum of Glass and then a couple of breweries and wineries. Beautiful part of NY, we are so blessed with this wonderful state!

PS: ANY GOOD PLACES TO BUY AMMO DOWN THERE?
-
Just reserved Pleasant Valley Inn for tomorrow night. Reviews look good from what I saw. As long as there is wine and bourbon, we should be ok. Playing it by ear on Three Birds which also looks good, but is 40 minutes away.

Corning would be on my list of things to do, she would probably like that too. Thanks for the tips so far!

@Steuben Jerry and @Pygmy or anyone else in that area. My wife and I have a 2 day vacation staying at Moonshadow B and B. We have a gift certificate to a brewery somewhere close by, not sure which one…. But looking for dinner recommendations, somewhere nice to very nice, but I don’t want to have to wear a jacket….. It’s our 30th anniversary coming up (during hunting season, so this is in advance). Or any other thing we should do for the next 2 days that is fun and interesting. THANKS Otto

I try not to get too excited because there deer on my cams are hardly ever seen during the hunting season. But they are around there!
-
Had some other good shots too.... I think the same three deer mostly.

Something happened to him during his growth period.... not sure what.

I pulled 8 cards last week. This was the first picture I saw from that bunch. Everything else was "eh". I need to figure out how to load the video i have of these same three deer. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
