My sister and brother in law lived in Ridgefield. Beautiful area and they loved the schools, etc. It's amazing what the houses go for there! But you may be more used to it being in that general area. My BIL moved but is still in Ridgefield. I think he has pretty much the whole weekend planned out between the mass, catered lunch, another mass on Sunday, then brunch.....and I think my wife would lose it completely if I left her with my family while I went and had a brew with the HuntingNY forum guys! Then again, she may want to come along with me!

That pan has seen some action!

Memorial mass on Saturday for my sister that passed away on what I call Day One of Covid, March 19, 2020. Seems so very long ago, but we are finally able to have a Mass and family gathering for her memory. Probably wouldn’t be a great time for a GTG, but just noticed that several members that I have never met (I did meet Biz in Buffalo once) would be in the same area at the same time.

@wolc123 @Chef @Biz-R-OWorld @The Jerkman How close is that to Danbury, CT? I’ll be there this weekend.

Picked up a card on the walk back tonight. He was there mid-day yesterday...

Awesome hunt - now top it with a blood trail!

I'm very sorry, that is the toughest thing to do for a pet you love so much, but it almost always is for the best.

A cartoucherie board and Knob Creek! Now that’s living! -
He has helped me out on some things too. Hopefully this is a temporary timeout. But understand your need to clamp down on some of the borderline posts.

@crappyice, sorry just seeing this, but your veni-meatloaf looks awesome! I have actually never made meatloaf with venison, or even beef. Yours looks so good I may have to try it someday!

The Darn Tough have lifetime warranty and are made in USA. Smartwool and Farm to Feet are good brands too.

Well, 6 days at most, but we think we saw him live on Saturday afternoon too. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Crossover is still around, I need to be here when he passes here again. It's a hard area to get into without leaving scent but the clock is ticking.....

AWESOME!! All day sits paid off for him, Congratulations! Pan fried deer heart for lunch?

I’m not sure what Dickies socks are made of, but get yourself some nice Merino Wool socks. Darn Tough is an excellent brand, but there are others. That will help a lot. Alpaca is excellent too. Also, what Rachunter said above. I find the DryShod boots to be a tad bit tight for me, but they are still comfortable and warm. That will make your feet cold. I have a pair of Muck boots that are probably almost 20 years old. There are a few punctures in the neoprene uppers that will leak when crossing streams, etc. But they are warm enough for a majority of the deer season. I don’t wear them ice fishing though.

Nice afternoon sit in too warm weather. Had a very small young doe come out and entertain me for half an hour. Then her not much older brother came out. 6 pointer hung around for the last half hour. Was hoping they would attract either a larger doe or buck. Didn't happen. While I was hunting, the Dept of Health called my wife. Our grandson (17 mos) tested positive for Covid a few days ago and the were contact tracing. Little guy is doing ok, mostly a runny nose. I was sort of hoping they would require me to quarantine for 10-14 days. No such luck as I am showing no symptoms. I will get a test in the next couple of days to be sure I am not positive and asymptomatic. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk -
